Oracle has suspended all operations in Russia. The company announced this on its Twitter account on Wednesday, March 2.
The Twitter announcement came about three hours after Ukraine’s Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov asked Oracle for support during the Russian invasion of the country.
Oracle tweeted: “On behalf of Oracle’s 150,000 employees around the world and in support of both the elected government of Ukraine and for the people of Ukraine, Oracle Corporation has already suspended all operations in the Russian Federation.” Fedorov replied: “With gratitude from all the free people of Ukraine!”
Earlier, Fedorov managed to block sales of Apple devices in Russia in the same way. Next in line are Microsoft and PlayStation. As you can see in the photo, a similar letter was also sent to SAP.
