Some Samsung Galaxy S24 camera features are coming to predecessors

-

During the Unpacked event, some Samsung Galaxy S24 camera features made their debut. These features at this time are exclusive to the new flagship series from Samsung, but they’ll be making their way to older flagship devices. This is sort of what Google Pixel does with each launch of their flagship devices, limiting access to some photography features for a while.

Samsung now seems to be towing that part as they debut new camera features on the S24 series. Some of these features will make the new and older (in the coming months) Galaxy devices more appealing to social media lovers. While these features launched on the new Galaxy S-series devices, Samsung is more than willing to share them with those using older S-series devices.

There are six camera features that users of older S-series devices can look out for on their smartphones. These features are Improved Single Take, longer exposure with Motion Photo, AI extraction of 12MP representative photos, colour addition to greyscale images, HDR video support for social media, and cross-device video editing. Each of these new features adds a bit of flare to the user’s photography abilities while using any of the new S24 devices.

In the coming months, other S-series devices will also get access to these features for everyday usage. Lovers of social media will benefit a lot from the HDR video support for social media platforms. This will help them record and upload clearer videos to their social media pages.

There’s no detail on when these features will be available for usage on older Galaxy S-series devices. But we can expect this to happen with a coming update to the camera app. Once this is available users will get it via the Google Play Store on their devices.
