Spotify AI playlist generation feature only relies on text to curate playlists

-

Currently available for beta testers is the new Spotify AI playlist feature. This new feature that’s currently undergoing testing aims to help serve users their music preferences based on written prompts. Beta testers are already giving netizens a heads-up about this feature, hence increasing the expectancy of this feature among regular users.

Users can get up to 30 song recommendations by using this feature on their Spotify app. All users have to do is drop a prompt describing a vibe that they want to feel, and the system curates a list of songs for them. Accessing this AI-powered feature from the Spotify app is also quite straightforward.

According to beta testers, this feature sits in the “Your Library” section of the Spotify app. By tapping on the plus sign at the top right-hand corner of the screen on the tab that holds the user’s profile photo, the page title, and the search icon. Tapping on the plus button will pull up an option page that holds Playlists, Blend, and the AI playlist generation feature.

If you’re able to access this feature on your app, you’ll notice that it’s only available for beta testers. However, accessing it (for beta testers) will pull up a page that requests users to type in prompts reflecting ideas of how they want to feel. After the prompt is entered and the user runs the generation process, they’ll need to wait a while, allowing the AI system to run its search.

After the Spotify AI playlist generation system pulls up songs based on the prompt given, users can save the playlist using the create feature. Of course, this feature won’t be available to all, as only Spotify subscribers will be able to access it once it rolls out for public usage. Beta testers are confirming that this feature is accurate, and we can’t wait for it to become available.
