Spotify video streaming is now coming to users in the EU for educational purposes

-

Users in the UK are now able to enjoy the new Spotify video streaming service. This service provides users in the UK with educational content that they can stream on their smart devices. These educational videos can span across a wide range of topics, hence giving users a lot to learn or access to a particular topic that catches their interest.

To make this educational content available, Spotify is working with BBC Maestro, PLAYvirtuoso, Skillshare, and Thinkific. With the help of these firms, Spotify will become more useful to users across the UK and not just a streaming service provider. For each educational course users embark on, they’ll be able to watch videos that’ll better help them understand what they are learning.

While this is a very impressive feature that Spotify is now rolling out to their users in the UK, it comes at a price. Yes, if you live in the UK, your monthly Spotify subscription doesn’t cover these educational video streaming services. For each course that a user takes, they’ll need to pay a set few giving them access to the course.

But for the first two educational videos that users get to watch, Spotify won’t charge them any fee. The price range for these videos will be between £20 to £80 depending on the educational video that the user chooses. To make these payments, UK Spotify users will have to use a link that’ll be sent to them via their email.

This applies to both Apple and iOS users of the Spotify app that reside in the UK. Possibly in the coming months, Spotify might make this service available to users. But for now, access to the new Spotify video streaming service will be available for users in the UK.
