The organisers of the Ukrainian pavilion at Gamescom 2023 presented a video with the highlights of the international gaming conference held in Cologne. Representatives of Ukrainian game development companies shared their impressions of the event. Besides, the video allows you to imagine the atmosphere that prevailed at the conference and see other participants.
Overall, this is a first for Ukraine – previously, the Ukrainian stand was not presented at Gamescom, but this year we managed to do it. The organisers of Gamescom 2023 agreed to provide 100 m² of space to Ukrainian companies free of charge. Thus, game development studios, organisers of game dev events, service companies, and startups related to the industry came together to present Ukraine and their projects. They showed the world community that the Ukrainian gaming industry is working and developing despite the war, and that our studios are reliable business partners that are worthy of trust.
“Each participant of the pavilion found new partners and friends, established useful contacts with both international and Ukrainian companies. And we hope that this tradition of unity and cooperation will only grow,” said Oleg Yavorsky, Development Director at VG Entertainment and one of the organisers of the Ukrainian Pavilion.
At the conference, Ukraine was represented by more than 40 companies related to the game development industry:
- Organisers: VG Entertainment, Games Gathering, GDBAY
- Game development studios: GSC Game World, Frogwares, Frag Lab, Fishing Planet, 4A Games, Tatem Games, Red Beat, Room 8 Group, Farom Studio, Bini Games, PlayToMax, Plazma Studio, Black Snow

The participants of the Ukrainian pavilion are confident that this was only the first step in this direction, and that more events are to come.
