The work of Ukrainian artist Olga Gyshchak won the contest organized by Blizzard Entertainment in honor of the studio’s 30th anniversary. The company showed it during the presentation at BlizzCon 2023. The author of the work announced this on her Twitter account. Olga Gyshchak’s art represents various characters from Blizzard games watching TV. The art depicts Illidan and Thrall from Warcraft, Tracer and D.Va from Overwatch, and others.
Olga admitted that she did not expect to win and was very surprised when she saw her work at BlizzCon 2023. She took part in an art contest from Blizzard, and the studio asked her to create a completely original work, so Olga decided to present a crossover in which different characters from different universes met. “I’ve loved the topic of crossovers since I was about 12 years old – it seems to me that it gives a lot of new opportunities to reveal the interactions of characters and some of their personal chips. And Blizzard is perfect for this because it has so many creative and diverse characters. It was hard not to choose and fit them all in at once.”

“To be honest, when I applied, I didn’t believe I could win at all – I just hoped that someone inside the studio would notice me, because working at Blizzard is one of my dreams, like many,” the artist admitted. – “So on the night the results were announced, I just went to bed as usual, and in the morning I woke up to congratulations and at first thought I was being played”.
Olga says that she had no experience of winning such a large-scale competition before, and at first she did not believe it had happened. “I did not expect such a huge support from our community, it was clear that people were sincerely happy for me, and it was incredibly inspiring and gave me the strength to move forward. Without a doubt, this whole event was a great boost for me and an extremely important achievement,” the artist said.
