The long-awaited Vivo X100 Ultra is preparing to hit the launch stage as its release date goes official. Vivo took to its official website to announce the launch date of this coming flagship-level device as well as a few details on its arrival. Heading over to the official Vivo China website, you’ll notice that this device is already listed for booking ahead of its official sale along with another device.
Yes, aside from the Vivo X100 Ultra, the Chinese brand is looking out to launch two more smartphones. These entries are the X100s and X100s Pro, both of which will come with slight design changes from the Ultra model. All three devices will hit the launch stage on May 13, which is next week, and might go on sale that same day.
From the images and the teaser video on the website, we can see that the Ultra model and the Vivo X100s series will feature different designs. The Ultra model will come with a curved screen display and a triple camera setup housed in a circular cutout. The X100s series will also feature the same circular cutout, but the layout of the cameras in this cutout will be different from that of the Vivo X100 Ultra.
Additionally, the Vivo X100s will feature a flat screen, while the X100s Pro will feature a curved screen. All three Vivo devices to launch on May 13 will hit the market with Zeiss camera branding. From the official Chinese website as well as the Weibo page, we aren’t getting any details of the rumoured Vivo imaging system.
For specifications, we expect this coming Vivo X100 Ultra to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and up to 16GB RAM capacity. The X100s series might launch with MediaTek processors and less RAM than the Ultra model. However, the main theme of the Vivo X100 Ultra will be photography as it’ll flaunt a ton of photography features.
