The Vivo BlueImage photography system will be in use on the X100 Ultra

While we wait for the X100 series, we’re now learning that the Vivo BlueImage system will launch with the X100 Ultra. This imaging system will replace the Zeiss imaging system on Vivo flagship devices. Despite having little details on this photography system that is coming to replace Zeiss, we can rest assured that it’ll pack a hefty punch.

For some reason, netizens understand that this system will be in use on only one device in the X100 series. This series will launch with a total of three devices, with each packing flagship-level specifications and features. Over the years, we have seen some impressive photography abilities from Vivo on their flagship X-series thanks to their Zeiss collaboration.

But because there’s a new photography system coming, we expect a shift away from the Zeiss branding. However, this shift might not be a one-time move from Vivo, as it seems like the brand is testing new waters with this new photography system. Our reason for stating this is that Vivo will not introduce the BlueImage photography system to all devices on the X100 series.

According to our sources and those familiar with this matter, this new photography system will only be in use on one device in the series. This device is none other than the top-of-the-line entry in the smartphone line-up, being the X100 Ultra. Other devices in the line-up like the Pro and base model will launch using the Zeiss photography system.

Well, Vivo won’t be the first Chinese smartphone brand to make this move in recent times. In 2022, Huawei made a similar move after losing its partnership with Leica by developing the XMAGE imaging system. More details on the Vivo BlueImage photography system will be made available in the weeks leading up to the X100 series launch.
