The Chinese companies Xiaomi and Honor seem to have decided to move away from the Buddhist principles that life is full of suffering, but it can be stopped, and are gradually returning to Russia. Apparently, emotional attachment to perishable things, such as money, which cause the same suffering, does not allow companies to abandon the still-solvent Russian market.

Many Russian publications, which are not to be cited, said that companies had opened new vacancies in Moscow and a few in Minsk.

Honor is looking for an HR specialist, a tester, a product analyst, a partner relations manager, and a logistics specialist. Apparently, the company will somehow try to return to the Russian market, negotiate with partners and establish communication in the information field.

The same goes for Xiaomi. A popular Russian job aggregator has a bunch of positions from a company that sells products of well-known brands, including Xiaomi, in specialized stores.

Last spring, almost immediately after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, well-known brands that valued their reputation began to actively withdraw from the aggressor country. Honor was no exception, although this did not mean that the manufacturer’s devices, like Xiaomi products, instantly disappeared from Russian shelves. The company seems to have declared a “silence mode,” but there is a nuance. The manufacturer’s products also got to Russians thanks to the magic spell “parallelicus importus” through various intermediaries who do not pay attention to the smell of money. And the company’s market share in Russia is about 40%.

Now, even the illusion of clean hands has been shattered, as Xiaomi and Honor will start working in the Russian market in full and officially. In fact, Xiaomi, according to the same Russian, sorry, media, is experiencing competition and pressure from other Chinese manufacturers operating in the same price segment in the same market. Therefore, the brand needs specialists to communicate with opinion leaders (whoever they are in Russia) and advertising companies.
