Recently, we’re hearing more and more about the upcoming Mi Band 7. However, the exact launch date of the updated smart band was not known to this date. Today, a well-known Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station said that the smart bracelet will soon appear on the market – on May 10 – along with a new phone. In fact, this statement is not surprising, as a new Xiaomi band was certified in many countries. Thus, there is every reason to believe that the band will be presented soon.
At the same time, the leaks about its key features are also spreading on the web. As of now Xiaomi Band 7 is rumoured to have many improvements. For example, it will be equipped with a large display, with Always-On Display support, and a built-in battery with a capacity of 250 mAh. For reference, Xiaomi Band 6 was equipped with a 125 mAh battery. Thus, the Xiaomi Band 7 should have 2x better battery life.
An early XDA report also hinted at a larger Always-On Display with a 192 × 490 resolution. However, the biggest feature of the upcoming smart band is rumoured to be a built-in GPS, and that users will be able to use the band to record activities such as walking and running without using a smartphone.
Xiaomi Band 7 will also include a smart alarm feature that will automatically wake the user up for easy sleep in 30 minutes before the alarm is installed, and support of a power saving mode that can extend battery life.
We can assume that the device will be released alongside Xiaomi 12 Ultra. No matter what, we are waiting for May 10.
