It’s always interesting to discover standout products within a company’s lineup—whether it’s an impressive smartphone model or a particularly useful laptop feature. In Tronsmart’s case, that hidden gem turned out to be an entire series of speakers. I was aware of their existence but largely overlooked them, assuming they wouldn’t be particularly relevant to me. However, quality deserves recognition where it’s due—such as with the Tronsmart Mirtune S100.

Tronsmart Mirtune S100 video review

Market position and equipment
Let’s start with the price. The Tronsmart Mirtune S100 comes in at $80. For a single speaker, that might seem steep to some—after all, at this price point, you could already be looking at a full entry-level sound system.
And that’s a fair point. Straight out of the box, the Tronsmart Mirtune S100 has the look and feel of a boombox. The packaging also includes a charging cable and a user manual—nothing excessive, just the essentials.
I was disappointed to find that an AUX cable wasn’t included in the box. However, they’re inexpensive and easy to find, so if you plan on using one, it’s best to pick one up in advance.
Design and dimensions
Next, the Tronsmart Mirtune S100 is large. And heavy. How large? 231×88×100 mm. How heavy? 1360 g. It’s far from the biggest speaker in the company’s lineup, as there are models weighing up to 6 kg. But still, nearly one and a half kilos of sound – it’s no toy.
The design is, by the way, asymmetrical, although on the edges, where the main drivers are located, there are still plastic elements that allow the sound to pass through. And it’s a nice touch that the bottom of the speaker has a dedicated flat surface, indicating the correct orientation when placed on a table.
Drivers
You’ll need to place it correctly on the table, as not all the drivers are omnidirectional. On the other hand, you’re unlikely to avoid the 50 watts of sound, no matter where you sit. Oh, I haven’t mentioned the 50 watts of volume yet? Well, here it is—two 10-watt tweeters and one large 30-watt subwoofer.
What surprised me personally was that the image on the website shows the speakers all facing forward! Despite the fact that the sides clearly feature a resonating chamber, which plays a role during operation, and also houses the lighting. Is it directly useful? Yes, it’s intended to enhance the sound quality.
I don’t think it’s critical for performance, though. The resonating chamber isn’t directly connected to the speakers, and the focus here is clearly on the bass, especially with the dedicated SoundPulse switch. This isn’t an invitation to poke it with a knife – leave it alone. And keep that knife for some kebabs at a friendly picnic. By the way, that’s a hint for the second condition. розіграшу. Не забувайте.
Specifications and software
In terms of other specifications, the Tronsmart Mirtune S100 has a frequency response range of 50 Hz to 20,000 Hz, Bluetooth version 5.3, and an operating range of up to 18 meters in open space. Yes, manufacturers usually promise around 10 meters, but this also depends on the antenna strength. Why not build in a more powerful one in a speaker like this, right?
The Tronsmart Mirtune S100 has an IPX7 water resistance rating and comes with proprietary moisture protection. The claimed battery life is up to 20 hours with the backlight off and at 50% volume. The manufacturer’s website, as well as others, frequently mentions its power bank functionality, indicated by the presence of a USB Type-A port among the connectors. The battery capacity is listed in the manual as 8000 mAh. The charging time is specified as 4.5 hours, with a maximum charging speed of 5V.
The Tronsmart Mirtune S100 also supports the company’s proprietary software, Tronsmart App. Through the app, you can control the speaker’s volume and playback mode, adjust the equalizer, switch input modes, quickly access the manual, and even set up automatic shutdown.
Working nuances
Overall, the Tronsmart Mirtune S100 is a speaker designed for parties and social gatherings. Why is it suited for parties and friends? Well, let’s list the features: RGB lighting with three modes and an off option? Check. A cleverly designed handle for easy transport? Check.
A microSD slot? It’s there. The ability to pair two speakers together as a stereo pair? Also included. There’s even a “for him and for her” dual connection mode, if you catch my drift.
Conclusions
This model isn’t the most powerful speaker in the company’s lineup. It’s not the cheapest or the most interesting either. But at full volume, it’s already too loud for an apartment building and more than enough for a gathering at a picnic in the woods. For a loud group of friends, I would definitely recommend the Tronsmart Mirtune S100.
