But can it meet the expectations of demanding users? Let’s find out what this smartphone has to offer and see if it has any surprises in store.
Positioning and price
Samsung has introduced the new Galaxy S24 FE smartphone, featuring AI-supported technologies. This device combines premium features with a more accessible price point.
The camera includes ProVisual Engine and Photo Assist technologies with built-in AI to help produce higher-quality photos and videos. Integrated AI simplifies communication and boosts productivity, while the Knox system securely protects your data.
The new model is priced at $705 for the 8/128 GB version and $775 for the 8/256 GB version. It comes in four body color options: blue, yellow, gray, and mint.

Package contents
The Galaxy S24 FE’s packaging is quite minimal. It arrived in a neat box that includes a USB-C to USB-C cable and a SIM tray ejector pin. Naturally, it would have been nice to see a charger and case included, but most flagship devices from various manufacturers leave these out. Some do so for environmental reasons, while others for cost-saving considerations.
Design and ergonomics
The smartphone looks fantastic, especially in the mint color. Visually, the device resembles an iPhone.
I liked that the front panel bezels are slim and nearly uniform in thickness around the entire perimeter. Plus, there’s virtually no “chin” at the bottom, which is common in non-flagship devices.
The screen covers 88% of the front surface, with the selfie camera subtly positioned at the top under the display. On the right side, there are two buttons—for volume control and lock—while the left side remains blank.
On the top edge, there’s a SIM card slot and two speakers, with two more speakers located at the bottom. Some might wonder if there’s a fingerprint scanner—there is, of course. It’s integrated into the display rather than built into the lock button.
Thanks to the metal frame, the phone feels great in hand and is a pleasure to use.
The back panel is made of glass. One detail worth noting is that the camera modules protrude quite a bit, so they may get scratched over time. Despite the glass back, it doesn’t look messy. Fingerprints or usage marks are visible, but only at certain angles, so they’re hardly noticeable. This was a pleasant surprise.
The color of the device and the minimalist camera design deserve special praise. There are no bulky islands or odd decorative elements—everything is sleek and tasteful. The smartphone beautifully shimmers in the sunlight and looks like a premium flagship.
The Galaxy S24 FE is lightweight and easy to hold. Additionally, it features an elongated screen that accommodates a lot of content, but we’ll discuss the display in more detail later. The body has an IP68 rating for protection, and overall, the phone boasts an excellent build quality.

Display
The Galaxy S24 FE features a modern 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a Full HD+ resolution (1080×2400 pixels). The screen stands out with bright and vivid colors, making it an ideal choice for those working with graphics or for users who prioritize high-quality multimedia content.
The colors are vibrant, the contrast is excellent, and there’s no glare on the screen, with good viewing angles. So, even on a sunny day, using the phone poses no problems. The AMOLED technology used in this smartphone provides deep black shades, adding depth to the images.
The screen supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which makes for smooth animations. This is especially important for game lovers.
The settings include both dark and light modes, adaptive brightness, and a feature that reduces blue light levels for eye comfort. You can also choose the camera cutout style, enable touch protection to prevent accidental taps, increase the touch sensitivity of the screen, and activate the Always-on Display (AoD) mode.
Sound
The Galaxy S24 FE is equipped with four speakers that deliver powerful and clear stereo sound. Thanks to their placement in different parts of the body, the sound is evenly distributed, creating a surround sound effect. This makes watching movies, playing games, and listening to music a true pleasure. The audio is reproduced with excellent detail, allowing you to clearly hear both high and low frequencies.
One of the standout features of the Galaxy S24 FE is that even if you accidentally cover one or more of the speakers with your hand while using the phone, it hardly affects the sound quality. This is very convenient when holding the phone horizontally, such as during gaming or video watching.

Unlocking methods
The Galaxy S24 FE supports all common unlocking methods: you can use a PIN code, pattern, fingerprint scanner, or facial recognition technology. Notably, the fingerprint scanner is integrated into the bottom of the screen. This is a very convenient solution, as it’s positioned where your finger typically rests while holding the phone, allowing for quick and easy unlocking. The system works accurately: the scanner quickly recognizes my finger and rarely fails.
Performance and software
The Galaxy S24 FE is powered by the Exynos 2400e processor, which, combined with 8 GB of RAM, ensures fast and stable performance. This allows for easy handling of daily tasks as well as running demanding applications like games or photo editing software. Although the processor is designed to optimize power consumption, I noticed during testing that the device can heat up to significant temperatures under heavy load. As a result, prolonged use can make it quite uncomfortable to hold.
Despite this, the device maintains high performance, making it an effective tool for both work and entertainment.

The smartphone runs on Android 14 with the proprietary One UI 6.1 interface. The interface is characterized by its user-friendliness and multifunctionality. Thanks to the excellent optimization of One UI 6.1, the device operates smoothly, with no noticeable lags or glitches.
Among the new features of the interface are enhanced personalization options and smart functions that adapt to user habits, such as app recommendations or automatic notification grouping. Additionally, the split-screen feature allows you to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
What features were new to me and what surprised me?
- Photo Assist: allows you to resize and edit photos
- Galaxy ProVisual Engine: improves the detail and saturation of images, ensuring that portraits are clear even in low light
- Circle to Search: simply circle the text or image on the photo, and the system will instantly find the information you need

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE cameras
The camera makes a strong impression with its wide range of capabilities, delivering stunning high-quality shots in any lighting conditions.
Main camera
Thanks to the night mode and Super HDR, the camera performs well even in low-light conditions, preserving bright details and maintaining color balance.
The camera particularly excels at capturing nature and urban landscapes—leaves on trees and buildings appear sharp and natural, as if you’re viewing them in person. The texture of materials and fine details are beautifully rendered.
The telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom allows for capturing photos from a distance without losing quality. It’s perfect for shooting details and portraits, providing excellent background blur (bokeh). With optical zoom, you can bring objects closer while maintaining sharpness and detail. This makes the lens a versatile tool for both landscape photography and close-ups.
Front camera
The front camera features a 10 MP module with image enhancement functions powered by AI, Super HDR, and a portrait mode.
Selfies taken with this camera are equally impressive. Thanks to the use of AI and HDR, each photo looks professional: facial details are well-defined, skin tones appear natural, and the background is nicely blurred. The AI-powered enhancement features allow for real-time adjustments to lighting and contrast, ensuring that your selfies look their best.
Video
Video recording on the Galaxy S24 FE is also impressive, allowing you to capture footage in resolutions up to 8K. The smoothness of the recording is achieved through a combination of optical and electronic stabilization, which is particularly beneficial when shooting on the move.
The slow-motion and time-lapse features provide opportunities for creative experimentation, while the Super HDR functionality allows you to shoot in challenging lighting conditions without losing color saturation and detail. This makes the camera a versatile tool for both casual and more serious videographers.
In summary, this is an excellent phone for people working in the media space and for anyone who loves photography. Personally, I was impressed by its video recording capabilities.
Battery life
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is equipped with a 4700 mAh battery. It features Power Delivery 25W fast charging technology, supports wireless charging at 15W, and has a reverse charging function.
I used the smartphone in my usual way: working, watching videos, checking social media, and taking photos. It wasn’t until the second day that I needed to charge it. However, it’s worth noting that the battery drains faster during gaming, which is quite expected for devices with such powerful specs.
As for charging speed, it took about an hour to go from 0 to 100%. During the process, the device hardly heated up.
