iPhone 16 cases reveal a thing or two about the design of the coming device

The new images of Apple’s iPhone 16 cases show off a thing or two about this device’s design language. These cases also confirm previous leaks about the design changes that this coming device will bring to Apple’s design line-up. From the cases, we can tell that Apple is moving away from the diagonal rear camera setup for the base and models.

Instead of this diagonal setup present on the iPhone 13, 14, and 15 series, Apple might be moving over to a straight setup. This setup will be similar to that found on the iPhone 11 and 12 series. Despite being similar to that on the older iPhone 11 and 12 series, this new camera bump for the 16 series will be quite different.

The coming Apple iPhone series will place the flash outside the camera bump. From the image above, you can see that the cutout for the camera lenses is different from that of the flash. So technically, the design on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus is like a cross-breed of the iPhone X and the iPhone 11 or 12.

If these cases fit the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, then we can confirm the design of the coming 16 series. Aside from the design of the camera layout, the images of these cases don’t show any more details on Apple’s iPhone 16 series. From previous reveals, we can expect Apple to make the Action button and a Shutter button available on the 16 and 16 Plus devices.
