As we have already written, Motorola is preparing to release the Moto G82 and Moto G62. And today it became known that another model will join this company – Moto G42. The device appeared on the FCC, BIS, TDRA and EEC certification sites under model number XT2233.
This model will replace last year’s Moto G41. The phone will be equipped with an OLED display. Which is not surprising, as Motorola has recently introduced AMOLD screens to mid-range smartphones. FCC certification has shown the availability of dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth modules and will come with Android 12 out-of-the box.
As for the appearance, the first images have already appeared online. Moto G42 will have a hole-punch in the top-cnter of the display, and a triple camera module on the back, although the exact specs of the cameras are yet unknown.
Motorola Moto G42 is likely to be equipped with a side fingerprint scanner, which will also act as a power button. Which, I believe, is more convenient than the in-display fingerprint reader. The SIM card slot is located on the left side, and the USB Type-C port, speaker grille and main microphone are located at the bottom of the phone.
