For the first time in my life I thought about buying a separate charger, because in the summer I became the owner of a smartphone Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which, as you obviously know, the manufacturer does not include a charger at all. And this was a serious inconvenience for me, because those adapters that I had in use, charge this smartphone very slowly. That’s why I decided to get a normal charger. And if I buy a charger, it is better to buy a universal one, for all occasions, which I can use with all gadgets, and to have a reserve for the future. VOLTME Revo 140 CCA – a powerful GaN charger for 140W turned out to be just such a solution for me. That’s why today we’ll take a look at it in this review.
Features of VOLTME Revo 140 CCA
Why did I choose VOLTME Revo 140 CCA? First of all, I liked the fact that the manufacturer declares the charger’s compatibility with many fast charging standards, both industrial (PD 3.1, BC1.2, PPS, FCP) and proprietary (Qualcomm Quick Charge 5.0, Huawei Super Charge, Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge). And this is very important, as, in fact, there is complete chaos in the market in this respect.
So for example I have a fast charger for Huawei smartphones, but it can’t fast charge Samsung or other manufacturers devices. I also have an adapter from realme and it too works fine only within its brand and related OPPO or OnePlus. And it’s very inconvenient. Buying a new charger, I wanted to close all these incompatibility issues.
But I also have a second laptop for travelling and working away from home, a realme Book, and it can charge via one of the USB Type C ports. But none of the adapters I have are capable of charging this device. So I was forced to carry a separate 65W laptop charger kit with me everywhere. This charger can charge the Galaxy S23 quickly, but it has a major problem – it only has one USB-C port, so this charger can only charge one device at a time. I, on the other hand, wanted one universal charger for my laptop, smartphone, maybe a watch and headphones, so the VOLTME Revo 140 CCA, with the ability to charge three gadgets simultaneously via a USB-A port and two USB-C ports, looks like just the option I needed.
It is also worth noting that this charger is the winner of the CES Innovation Awards 2023 in the category “Laptop Accessories”. We may feel differently about such awards, but in general such awards testify to the unconventionality and high quality of a product.
The main feature of the charger is that it is powered by the latest GaN Ⅲ V-Dynamic chip, which provides dual-channel fast power supply, better charging performance, better heat dissipation.
In addition to high power for laptops, the charger can provide a low power of up to 0.9W at a lower operating temperature compared to other GaN-based chargers. This is a very useful property for charging small electronics like headphones and smartwatches that don’t require high charging power. And the intelligent VOLTME Power Dispenser regulates the power output to protect the device’s battery. In addition, the V-Dynamic architecture reads 800 temperature readings every second to protect the charger from overheating. All in all, the VOLTME Revo 140 CCA provides complete multi-level protection for all electrical parameters while charging gadgets.

Positioning and price
We can’t say that this charger is the cheapest on AliExpress. On the contrary, the price of about $60 including shipping can be considered a bit higher than most competitive Chinese chargers of similar power.
But, in general, the price is competitive if you look closely at the details. In general, choosing a charger is quite a responsible topic, as the cost of the gadgets that will be plugged in for charging is much higher than the cost of the adapter, so the risks of losing them while charging from a low-quality charger should be taken into account in this process. It is better to take devices from more reputable manufacturers, and look primarily at reviews rather than price.
Design, materials, build, layout of elements
VOLTME Revo 140 CCA is made of quality durable plastic. In my version it is black in colour with a matte finish. But a white version is also available.
The design of the charging unit is classic – a regular parallelepiped with an electrical plug. The edges and ends are slightly rounded.
The port panel is decorated with a glossy border. The ports are marked with orange colour. A white trefoil-shaped LED status indicator is located above the ports.
Overall the construction feels solid. I have no complaints about the materials and assembly of the product. The unit has a nice solid weight, which indirectly indicates that it has a lot of electronic components inside and it is not some “nothing”.
I can note that the surface of the plastic is noticeably scratched during use, especially in the area of the USB ports. But this is quite normal for such a utilitarian device, in my opinion.
VOLTME USB-C 100W cable
Included with the charger, I also ordered an additional VOLTME USB-C cable with 100W power support – just so that I always have a cable that can unleash the full potential of charging. Better still, it should be from the same manufacturer – to maximise compatibility. So I purchased the cable separately and have no regrets, the quality of the accessory is really top-notch! The cable itself is quite thick, in a soft soft-touch sheath, very pleasant to the touch, and the connector housings are reinforced with metal. For easy transport, the cable has a Velcro locking strap.
Testing VOLTME Revo 140 CCA for charging various gadgets
Let’s move on to the practical use of the charger for charging various gadgets that are in my personal use. I would like to note at once that the charger behaves quite adequately and does not heat up very much during operation.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone
First, of course, I tested charging the smartphone for which the adapter was purchased in the first place. The charging algorithm of the Galaxy S23 Ultra detects that it is connected to the super-fast charging unit – this is good, it means that the battery is charging in the right mode and the smartphone’s charge controller is giving the right commands to the charger electronics.
Charging took place at the following pace:
- 00:00 – 15%
- 00:10 – 39%
- 00:20 – 55%
- 00:30 – 71%
- 00:40 – 86%
- 00:50 – 94%
- 01:00 – 97%
- 01:10 – 100%
Realme Book laptop
- USB-C Charging #2
- With the screen on (photo splash screen):
- 00:00 – 17%
- 00:10 – 28%
- Under workload:
- 00:20 – 41%
- 00:30 – 54%
- With the screen on (photo splash screen):
- Switched to USB-C #1
-
- 00:40 – 66%
- Putting the notebook into sleep mode with the lid closed:
- 00:50 – 77%
- 01:00 – 85%
- With the screen on (photo splash screen):
- 01:10 – 90%
- 01:20 – 93%
- 01:30 – 96%
-
Then I stopped monitoring the laptop charging, because it became clear that the algorithm slows down the process at the final stage to preserve battery life. And this also indicates that the charger is working correctly. In general, the charging speed is almost identical in time to charging the realme Book from the complete adapter.
ALLPOWERS S1500 Portable Power Station
My power station can charge simultaneously through multiple channels, including a USB-C port that supports the bi-directional 100W Power Delivery standard.
Of course, I could test charging the station by the VOLTME Revo 140 CCA. The station draws a steady 102-103W from either of the two USB-C’s.
If I simultaneously connect a Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone to the charger via the second USB-C, the charging current to the station on the first channel drops to 55-56W.
After 40 minutes of such intensive charging, the charger becomes very hot. However, the charging power does not drop. The VOLTME Revo 140 CCA does its job.
Other
As for simultaneous charging of three gadgets, the charger also copes with this task without any problems. When charging a laptop, a smartphone and headphones in parallel, the charging rate is approximately the same as I showed above for each separate device. At the same time, there is no noticeable increase in the heating of the charging unit’s case in this mode of operation. This indicates that the VOLTME Revo 140 CCA can indeed maintain the required charging power level for long periods of time.
As for charging small electronics, I constantly charge my current headphones from VOLTME Revo 140 CCA: Huawei FreeBuds Pro, TOZO Golden X1, Haylou S35 ANC and Huawei Watch 3 Pro. I mostly try to charge this kind of tech from the USB-A port, but I’ve tried the USB-C port as well. No problems were detected, everything works well and correctly.

Conclusions
VOLTME Revo 140 CCA is an excellent universal charger that covers all the needs for recharging various electronic gadgets. Among the advantages of the product I can mention the optimal number of USB ports for simultaneous work with three devices, support for all modern standards of fast smart charging and multi-level protection against overheating and electrical damage – both the charger itself and the connected gadgets.
Overall, after a month of use, I can safely recommend the VOLTME Revo 140 CCA for purchase. During testing, I did not find any obvious disadvantages of this charging unit.
