The European version of the realme 16 Pro has a smaller battery, but boasts longer software support. After the January premiere of the 16 Pro in India, the official realme website released the device’s specifications for the European market, which revealed significant differences between the regional versions.
While Indian users are offered a 7000 mAh battery, the European market is limited to 6500 mAh. In addition, the wired charging power in Europe is only 45 W, while in India it reaches 80 W.

The pricing for the European market is approximately $679 for the 256GB version with 8GB of storage, while the 512GB variant is priced at $754. In Europe, the smartphone is offered exclusively with 8 GB of RAM (combined with 256 GB or 512 GB storage), while in India, a configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is available. Also, the European version supports NFC and eSIM technologies, which are not available in the Indian counterpart. Expectedly, the European configuration does not include a charger in the box, unlike the Indian delivery.
The most important difference is in the promises of system updates: Europe gets much better conditions. In particular, the European market has 5 major updates of the Android operating system and 6 years of security patches. In India, these terms are shorter – 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security support.

All other characteristics remain unchanged. The smartphone retains a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a peak brightness of 6500 nits. The hardware platform is based on the Dimensity 7300 Max chip. The main camera has a resolution of 200 megapixels with optical image stabilization (OIS), which is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel module for selfies.
