To be honest, I prefer not to play mobile games. It’s a bit of snobbery and just an unpleasant experience. Yes, smartphones and smart devices in general often have great releases or clever ports. I’ve even reviewed some of them. But if I have a Nintendo Switch, I usually only play it on the go. But not always.
The Apple Arcade service came to me almost by itself: like many people, I subscribe to other services of the company – Apple TV, Apple Music, iCloud, and so on. And as part of the Apple One family subscription, I get Arcade on top of that. Well, if that’s the case, why not try it? Today, let’s take a look at what new games – or updates – are coming out in April.
TABLE OF CONTENTS:
Cornsweeper

Do you remember the game “Sapper”? You almost certainly do. Well, this is about the same, only… with corn? Most likely, this is a solo project by Robert Morrison. The release date is April 28, though in recent days the exact date has disappeared from the store, which raises suspicions. Well, let’s hope for the best.
Requirements.
- iOS 13 or later
- iPadOS 13 or later
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
- tvOS 13 or later
Grand Mountain Adventure

The name leaves no doubt – this is a ski simulator. More precisely, a ski and snowboard simulator. Technically, this is not a novelty – Grand Mountain Adventure was first released on Android on March 28, 2019. The iOS/iPadOS version was released on January 22, 2020.
Requirements.
- iOS 13 or later
- iPadOS 13 or later
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later (Apple Silicon)
Dr. Who: An Unlikely Heist

“Play as the Thirteenth Doctor, solve mysteries, search for hidden objects, find secret rooms, and complete exciting quests.” If you’re a fan of Doctor Who, you might be interested in this game in theory. But in reality, there’s nothing to get excited about – it’s a simple toy for beginners. It received average ratings in the App Store, and fans of the service are turning their noses up.
Requirements.
- iOS 13 or later
- iPadOS 13 or later
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
- tvOS 13 or later
Summon Quest

Summon Quest is a role-playing video game developed by Team17 USA and published by The Label. I’m always interested in Team17’s new releases (though more as a publisher), so this one caught my eye.
The game may not live up to your expectations, as it features three worlds with two difficulty levels each, which may make it seem boring and monotonous. The game has 24 levels in total, and the player gets the same bonuses in each of them. Overall, it could be better.
Requirements.
- iOS 13 or later
- iPadOS 13 or later
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
- tvOS 13 or later
