Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will be added to the Apple Arcade catalog in February. Apple has announced this, specifying that the release in the subscription service will take place almost exactly one year after the game’s release on other platforms.
Although Civilization VII is already available for Apple devices in a standard format through the App Store, this will be its first launch in the Apple Arcade as part of a subscription model. For users of the service, the game will be available at no additional cost.

The release of the seventh installment of the cult series was met with mixed reactions. Some players and critics drew attention to the contradictory system of transitions between epochs, which, in their opinion, violates the logic of the historical development of civilizations. These comments were actively discussed, in particular, in user reviews on the Steam platform. At the same time, the visuals of the game were positively assessed by most reviewers, noting the detail and overall artistic style.

The Apple Arcade version will allow playing Civilization VII on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. The official release date for the service is February 5. For Apple Arcade, this is another step in expanding its library with large and recognizable strategic projects aimed not only at mobile but also at desktop audiences.
