The Hogwarts Legacy game has become free for all fans of the Harry Potter universe. Perhaps this has something to do with the upcoming premiere of the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone series from HBO. Or maybe not, because last year, the developer Avalanche Software and publisher WB Games already gave the game away for free. Perhaps the reason is the 25th anniversary of the first movie (it was released in November). But in any case, if you missed the opportunity to save your money on this title last year, don’t hesitate this time. You can download the open-world role-playing game from Warner Bros. for free and save it to your library in the Epic Games Store until May 3.
Creating an account in the store is free, so even users whose PC can’t run the game right now should sign up and add the game to the library. After all, a PC that meets the requirements may become available in the future, but when and if such a promotion will be held again is an asterisked question.
Hogwarts Legacy was released in 2023, and the game is set about 100 years before the events of the books and movies. Upon release, the game received 84 points on Metacritic and became the best-selling game of the year. Overall, it ranks 19th among the best-selling video games in history.
