According to the published data, Apple is expected to account for 27% of total foldable screen shipments in 2026, despite the fact that the iPhone Duo is scheduled for release only next month. At the same time, Samsung is projected to retain its leading position with a 33% share, thanks to an 8% annual increase in shipments. As for Huawei, it will rank third with a 25% share, trailing Apple by just 2%, while its own shipments will decline by 6%.
Analysts predict that between 2026 and 2030, shipments of foldable panels will grow by 74%, equivalent to a compound annual growth rate of approximately 15%. The report notes that Apple’s figures will increase by 167%, when comparing figures from the second half of 2026 to those of 2030, allowing the company to expand its market share by about 15% and reach 42%. In contrast, Samsung’s shipments will grow by 27%, while its market share will decline to 24%. Huawei’s shipments, meanwhile, will increase by only 3%, and its market share will fall to 15%.
In addition, the study provides a detailed breakdown of foldable display shipments by form factor – inward-folding devices, multi-fold models, and clamshell devices – through 2030.
Specifically, shipments of inward-folding panels will grow by 79% between 2026 and 2030, increasing their market share from 81% to 84%. Multi-panel solutions will see a 179% surge, raising their share from 2.8% to 4.5%. At the same time, shipments of displays for the “clamshell” form factor will increase by 27%, but their overall share will decline by approximately 4% to 12%.
