Acer Unveils Swift & TravelMate Laptops and Vero Projectors at #IFA2025

Acer has announced a whole range of new devices. Among the highlights unveiled at IFA 2025 were the ultra-light Swift Air 16 laptop, designed for those who value both performance and mobility, and the business-focused TravelMate X14 AI.

In addition, the company introduced a new line of energy-efficient projectors, which includes three models: Acer Vero XL2320p, Vero XL2521, and Vero SL2520n. The lineup also featured two Acer Chromebox models, designed for environments that require stationary ChromeOS-based solutions.

Acer Swift Air 16 – Ultra-lightweight Copilot+ PC

The new Swift Air 16 is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series, enabling efficient local AI applications, fast system responsiveness, and optimized power consumption. This ensures smooth performance for video conferencing, streaming, video editing, and creative workloads. As a Copilot+ PC, it also provides access to AI-driven features such as Recall, Click to Do, and Enhanced Windows Search.

The device features a magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis and weighs under 1 kg, making the Swift Air 16 one of the lightest 16-inch laptops on the market. It comes in four color options. Buyers can choose between a 16-inch WQXGA+ AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate or a WUXGA IPS display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The AMOLED option supports DCI-P3 color coverage and reaches a peak brightness of 400 nits.

Other highlights include a 2 MP FHD camera with a privacy shutter and Windows Hello support, dual microphones, and speakers for enhanced audio quality. The laptop also offers a wide range of ports: two fully functional USB Type-C, one USB 3.2 Type-A, and HDMI 1.4. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and the latest generation of Bluetooth.

Acer TravelMate X14 AI business laptop

At IFA 2025, Acer introduced the TravelMate X14 AI, a laptop designed for small and medium-sized businesses as well as remote professionals. The model is built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor delivering 115 TOPS of performance, paired with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1 TB of PCIe storage. It runs Windows 11 Pro and supports Copilot+ PC features such as Recall, Click to Do, enhanced Windows search, Cocreator in Microsoft Paint, and Live Captions with real-time translation.

Acer TravelMate X14 AI

The laptop weighs 1.27 kg and measures 15.9 mm in thickness. It meets the MIL-STD 810H standard, providing resistance to vibration, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. The device features a 14-inch WUXGA display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, with an optional OLED panel offering up to 500 nits of brightness and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification.

For video calls, the laptop uses Acer PurifiedView 2.0 and PurifiedVoice 2.0 technologies, combined with DTS:X Ultra Audio speakers. It meets TCO certification standards and includes security features aimed at protecting data and on-screen information. The security system incorporates Acer UserSensing 2.0, which locks the screen when the user steps away. Connectivity is supported via Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and the port selection includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB 3.2 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and Gigabit Ethernet.

Acer Vero – a new generation of eco-friendly projectors

Alongside the laptops, Acer introduced new projectors: the Vero XL2320p, Vero XL2521, and Vero SL2520n. These are laser-based models that operate without mercury, making them safer and more environmentally friendly. They offer a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours and consume 40% less energy compared to traditional lamp-based projectors. The short-throw Vero SL2520n can produce a 100-inch image from just 1.1 meters away.

The projectors support up to Full HD resolution, offer 4,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio. They can operate in vertical orientation, support 360-degree projection, portrait mode, and feature advanced 2D and four-corner keystone correction. They also have dust protection rated at IP6X. All models include HDMI ports, while the Vero SL2520n additionally provides Ethernet connectivity.

For user convenience, the projectors include specialized display modes – “Football” for the XL2 series and “Golf” for the SL2520n. They are equipped with built-in 15-watt speakers. As with other products in the Vero lineup, up to 50% of the construction uses recycled plastic, and the packaging is fully recyclable.

New Acer Chromebox

At IFA 2025, Acer introduced two desktop solutions running ChromeOS. These are aimed at school labs, small and medium-sized businesses, customer service areas in lobbies or offices, and retail environments where they can be used for information kiosks or digital displays. Both Chromebox models can be mounted on the back of a monitor using an optional VESA mounting kit or set up as standalone units.

The Acer Chromebox CXI6 stands out for its compact design and provides the essentials for smooth and reliable ChromeOS performance. It is powered by an Intel Core 7 150U processor and features five USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an additional USB 3.2 Type-C port, and two HDMI outputs, supporting up to four independent displays. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and a 2.5G LAN port for fast internet access.

Acer Chromebox CXI6

The other model, the Acer Chromebox Mini CXM2, is designed for users seeking an even more compact option. Its fanless design allows for nearly silent operation while minimizing space usage. It is powered by an Intel Core 3 N350 processor. Despite its small size, the Chromebox Mini offers five USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and two HDMI outputs, supporting up to three displays simultaneously.

Price and availability

  • The Acer Swift Air 16 (SFA16-61M) will be available in EMEA in November starting at €999.
  • The TravelMate X14 AI (TMX414-51) will be available in Europe in September starting at €899 and in the US in Q4 starting at $1399.99.
  • The projectors will be available in Europe from December 2025. The Vero XL2320p will start at €699, the XL2521 at €899, and the SL2520n at €1199.
  • The Acer Chromebox CXI6 will be available in North America in December starting at $519.99 and in the EMEA region in September starting at €429.
  • The Chromebox Enterprise CXI6 will be available in North America in December starting at $749.99 and in EMEA in September starting at €499.
  • The Acer Chromebox Mini CXM2 will be available in North America in Q1 2026 starting at $329.99 and in EMEA in September starting at €229.
  • The Chromebox Mini Enterprise CXM2 will be available in North America in Q1 2026 starting at $359.99 and in EMEA in September starting at €299.
