Have you ever worried about the price of foldable devices, well if you have, some affordable clamshell folding devices are preparing to launch. These devices are on display and come from three smartphone brands being, ZTE, Blackview, and Doogee. For some netizens, getting a foldable device from ZTE is much expected, but the same can’t be said of the other brands in question.

All three brands are preparing to launch a clamshell foldable device in the coming months. At the end of the Chinese New Year, we got a teaser that Blackview was working on a foldable smartphone via a “back to office” post. ZTE showed off its new clamshell folding device before the start of MWC 2024 via a social media post.

Doogee on the other hand, has been a bit quiet about its clamshell folding device so seeing it at MWC 2024 might have been a surprise to netizens. Now at MWC 2024, we are getting to see these clamshell folding devices, and they are all interesting devices. With these three devices, netizens can rest assured that they’ll soon be able to purchase some budget clamshell folding devices.

All these devices come with external displays, just like other flagship clamshell devices that are available for purchase. The ZTE Nubian Flip comes with a circular cutout and its external display sits within the cutout. Blackview places the external display on their device beside the rear camera cutout. Doogee on the other hand, places the external screen below the camera cutout, making it the largest external display of all three.

The ZTE Nubian Flip will soon be available for purchase, as the phone’s official debut was days ago at MWC 2024. As for the other devices, they’re yet to launch, with only Blackview Hero 10 showing a teaser on the brand’s official website. Once all devices are available, we’ll give you in-depth details on which is the best buy for you.
