This year, POCO has already released two new devices in its F series – the POCO F7 Pro (you can find our review at the link on our site) and the F7 Ultra. The latter, notably, is positioned as the most affordable smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Still, the lineup felt incomplete without a standard model, so the company has now introduced another noteworthy addition – the POCO F7.
The POCO F7 delivers flagship-level performance at an even more competitive price. This time around, POCO has also put more emphasis on design – the phone features a glass back panel accented with futuristic touches like aluminum frames and neon detailing around the camera module. The front panel includes a subtle curve for a more comfortable grip. Additionally, the device comes with IP68 dust and water resistance and has passed TÜV SÜD’s smartphone quality certification.

Under the hood, the POCO F7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile platform. This chip handles faster app launches, improved multitasking, and better performance under demanding workloads. In benchmarks, the POCO F7 scored 2,084,535 points in AnTuTu – a 30% increase over the POCO F6. The phone is available in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.

The POCO F7 runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 212, built around three core components: HyperCore for performance, HyperConnect for smart cross-device integration, and HyperAI. It also supports WildBoost Optimization 4.0, which promises smoother gaming, improved touch responsiveness, and enhanced haptic feedback. Thermal management is handled by an advanced 3D IceLoop cooling system, which includes POCO’s largest Loop Heat Pipe to date. This setup helps maintain stable performance even under prolonged heavy workloads.

The POCO F7 packs the largest battery in the F series – a 6500mAh unit. It supports 90W HyperCharge fast charging, allowing the phone to reach 80% charge in just 30 minutes. Additionally, the device offers reverse charging at up to 22.5W, making it useful for powering other gadgets on the go.

The POCO F7 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. Thanks to ultra-thin bezels, the screen-to-body ratio reaches 94.23%. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 3200 nits of peak brightness. The display is also certified by TÜV Rheinland for Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution), Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly standards. This indicates that the panel is designed to reduce harmful blue light exposure, helping to minimize eye strain during extended use.

On the back, the POCO F7 is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera featuring optical image stabilization (OIS). It’s paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, useful for landscape shots and group photos. The camera software includes features like LivePhoto, AI Beautify – which enhances image quality by adjusting tone, color, sharpness, contrast, and brightness – as well as AI Erase, AI Image Expansion, and AI Sky for additional editing flexibility.

The POCO F7 series includes a Cyber Silver Edition featuring a futuristic geometric pattern engraved with a laser and a distinctive Neon Flare accent around the camera module. In addition to that, there are two other color options: a matte white version and a classic black variant. The global launch is scheduled for June 24, with sales of the new devices set to begin soon in POCO’s official store on AliExpress.
