The new Nissan Juke will get a bold electric version. When the first generation appeared on the market, its appearance caused polarized reactions: for some, it was a stylish breakthrough, for others, it was a strange car. The company decided not to deviate from this concept and introduced the third generation, which is moving into the electric car segment.
The new car is scheduled to be launched in early 2027. The car will be fully electric and based on the CMF-EV platform, also known as AmpR Medium. The same architecture is used by the Renault Scenic E-Tech, Alpine A390 and Nissan Ariya, which means a common technical basis for several models of the alliance.

The exterior immediately attracts attention thanks to the sharp, broken lines across the body. The front end has a large blacked-out grille and futuristic headlights that look more like elements of a spacecraft. The demonstrator was painted bright green to emphasize its character. The wheel arches are made in black and have a distinct geometry that creates a combination of aggressiveness and unusualness.

At the same time, the recognizable detail of previous generations – the rear door handles, which are placed high near the roof – has been preserved. The rear end features sophisticated LED optics and an unusual trunk lid shape. Overall, the car looks more like a concept car than a production model for daily use. The interior has not yet been shown, but given the exterior, we can expect no less expressive interior design.
There is no complete information about the powertrain, but it is known about battery options. The model is expected to be offered with 52 kWh or 75 kWh batteries. V2G technology is also provided, which allows the car to be used as an energy source.

Production of the new Juke is planned to be launched at the company’s facility in Sunderland, UK, where the Nissan Leaf is already produced. Concentrating the production of electric vehicles at one site allows for more efficient use of resources and ensures the stability of conveyors.

Unlike the typical practice of replacing the previous model with a new one, the manufacturer has chosen a different strategy. The current second-generation hybrid Juke will remain on sale alongside the electric version. To maintain stylistic unity, its appearance will be updated to bring it closer to the design of the new model.

The Juke has never been a conventional model, and it appears that the manufacturer does not intend to change this approach. The move to the all-electric segment allows the car to remain relevant. Its design may seem unusual, but it is precisely this unconventionality that can be the key to attracting the attention of new buyers.
