Xiaomi’s full-size EREV crossover, the Skynomad N90 Max, covered a distance of 1,230 km on a trip from Shanghai to Beijing using just one full tank of fuel and a single battery charge. Xu Jun, Deputy General Manager of the Strategic Marketing Department, shared details about this achievement and the accompanying video.

Throughout the entire journey, there were four people inside the Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max, along with 50 kg of additional cargo. The vehicle’s climate control was set to 24 °C. The vehicle was driven in Eco mode, prioritizing electric propulsion. Tire pressure was set at 2.9 bar, while the energy recovery system was configured for 80% efficiency.

According to Xu Jiuyong, the SUV’s average speed on the highway was 104 km/h. The driver was assisted by the Hyper Autonomous Driving suite. Under these conditions, the Skynomad N90 Max’s all-electric range reached 323.6 km, which corresponds to 69.7% of the CLTC-rated value. The average electricity consumption in this mode was 19.7 kWh. Once the gasoline generator kicked in, fuel consumption settled at 6.7 L/100 km.

The test route for the Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max ran from the Shanghai 5G Future Center directly to Xiaomi’s manufacturing facility in Beijing, covering a total of 1,230 km. When the car reached the finish line, the onboard instruments showed a remaining range of 54 km. This indicates that the Skynomad N90’s actual total range can reach approximately 1,284 km, which is equal to 75.3% of the CLTC rating.

The Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max is a full-size crossover with body dimensions of 5,285 × 1,998 × 1,825 mm and a wheelbase of 3,080 mm. Its powertrain includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine from Dongan, a subsidiary of Changan. This internal combustion engine acts as a generator to recharge a triple NMC battery pack with a capacity of 76 kWh manufactured by CALB. The model is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system featuring two electric motors with a combined output of 310 kW (416 k.s.). Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes 18 minutes.

Pre-orders for the Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max SUV began in China on July 30. The starting price of the vehicle is 299,900 yuan ($44,320). The car’s official market launch is scheduled for September 2026. Meanwhile, according to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi Auto’s deliveries in July 2026 totaled 31,267 units, marking a 2.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
