Leaks regarding Physint, Hideo Kojima ‘s PlayStation-exclusive spy action game considered to be the ideological descendant of Metal Gear Solid, reveal new details about the game’s main antagonist. In the casting materials, he is described as a “quiet and intense” killer with a mandatory German accent, and his character is compared to Mads Mikkelsen ‘s Hannibal Lecter, but “with a special charisma.”

The leak also notes that Kojima Productions is currently focused on casting actors and preparing for filming using performance capture technology. The first sessions, according to the available information, may begin as early as June, despite the fact that the game itself is still at the concept stage, and the names of new actors are already circulating among potential project participants.

Could this be a role created specifically for Mads Mikkelsen? According to MP1st, the role description looks familiar. The casting materials indicate that the character should be a white man between the ages of 50 and 70, with a thin build, weighing approximately 66 kg and about 178 cm tall. However, it is not so much the physical description as the psychological portrait of the character that is much more important. The requirements emphasize that the actor should radiate a “quiet intensity,” and his presence should create a sense of growing tension.

The materials also specify that the character should be “confident in a psychopathic sense,” a cold-blooded and restrained killer. For reference, it is explicitly stated: “Imagine Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal, but with more expressiveness. A GERMAN ACCENT IS REQUIRED.” In the casting call, the actor is identified as a key figure, and the scene to be played involves a hijacked bus and passengers, which hints at the presence of intense action episodes at the beginning of the game.

Physint

Since its first announcement in 2024 as a PlayStation project, Kojima Productions has barely revealed any details about Physint. In 2026, Kojima said, the focus is on laying the groundwork for the upcoming game. In his New Year’s address, he confirmed that the team would focus on recruiting actors, scanning them, and conducting performance capture shootings. According to reports, the studio is already preparing for the relevant sessions, and the first filming may start in June.

Despite the fact that Physint is still at an early stage of development, there is information about the participation of famous actors in the project. Rumor has it that the first filming is scheduled for June, and stars such as Charlie Fraser (Furiosa), Ma Dong-seok (Train to Busan), and Minami Hamabe (Godzilla: Minus One) may already be involved in the project.

Fans are already actively discussing the potential performer of the main antagonist and suggest that Christoph Waltz could be an ideal candidate, given his experience in creating charismatic and at the same time threatening characters, in particular his unsurpassed ability to play intellectual villains in films such as Inglourious Basterds or Spectre.
