Samsung has released the new Galaxy A08 smartphone, which features a larger battery and improved protection against moisture and dust compared to the previous model.
The main advantages of the new model are its massive 6,000 mAh battery and a higher rating for its water and dust resistance. At the same time, the hardware remains unchanged and includes a 6.7-inch screen, a Helio G99 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a 50-megapixel main camera.
The device is equipped with a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with HD+ resolution of 1,600 by 720 pixels, a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. Performance is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor paired with 4 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot supporting up to 2 TB.
Out of the box, the device runs on Android 17 paired with the One UI 9.0 interface. The manufacturer has promised to provide users with six major Android OS updates, as well as security patches, for six years.
The camera system features a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an additional 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. An 8-megapixel camera is located in the teardrop-shaped notch on the front panel. The device is capable of recording Full HD video at 30 frames per second using both the front and rear cameras.
Communication features include GPS, 4G LTE support, a dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB 2.0 Type-C port, and a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, although this model lacks an NFC module. The Galaxy A08 will be available in three color options: dark blue, green, and silver.
