Blackview has officially announced the global debut of the world’s first 13-inch tablet with built-in AI capabilities – the MEGA 8.. According to the manufacturer, the device integrates leading AI models, is equipped with a massive 11,000 mAh battery, and supports up to 36 GB of RAM. Running on DokeOS_P 4.1 based on Android 15, the tablet offers a range of features designed to ensure efficient and productive multitasking.
The Blackview MEGA 8 comes with integration of three prominent AI models: DeepSeek R1, ChatGPT-4o mini, and Gemini AI 2.0. With built-in voice recognition powered by AI, users can control multiple apps using voice commands. The AI Global Smart Control feature also makes it possible to switch between apps like Gmail, YouTube, and WhatsApp more easily.
The MEGA 8 also includes four built-in AI apps designed for smart chatting, image editing, video creation, and music generation. One of these apps, Hi Doki, can perform real-time searches, generate images or music from text, analyze documents, and assist with homework tasks.
The ImageX app offers 18 professional tools for photo animation, object removal, blemish correction, and background replacement. VidGen allows users to convert images and text into video with creative effects. Meanwhile, Soundle provides a quick way to generate lyrics and melodies across eight different music genres.
To support comfortable content consumption and productive multitasking, Blackview equipped the MEGA 8 with the company’s largest display to date – a 13-inch FHD+ screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The display is TÜV SÜD certified for reduced blue light emissions, which helps minimize eye strain during extended use. The tablet also supports Widevine L1 for streaming HD video at 1080p resolution and features a Smart-K stereo system with four speakers.
The MEGA 8 comes with Split-Screen 2.0 and PC Mode 2.0 to improve productivity and streamline multitasking. With support for wireless keyboards and mice, the tablet can effectively function as a 13-inch laptop. File transfers are significantly faster – up to 77 times – with the EasyShare app, while the Workspace app is designed to optimize overall performance. Powering the device is a large 11,000 mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 20 hours of continuous use and up to 1,416 hours on standby.
The tablet features a 50MP rear camera using Sony’s IMX362 sensor, designed to deliver clear and vibrant photos. It also supports Google Lens integration for quick object recognition and contextual search. On the video front, it records in 1080p Full HD. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 13MP front-facing camera that performs well even in low-light environments.
Under the hood, the MEGA 8 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc Tiger T620 processor running at 2.2 GHz, which Blackview claims offers a 22% performance boost over previous models. It comes with 12 GB of RAM, expandable by an additional 24 GB via memory expansion technology. The device also supports Atomized Memory 2.0, which is said to reduce app load times by 28%. Storage includes 512 GB of internal flash memory and a TF card slot supporting up to 2 TB.
The MEGA 8 comes with a free tempered glass screen protector, a protective case, and a stylus for improved usability.
