Blackview has added a new model to its lineup of rugged devices with the introduction of the BL7000. This 5G-enabled smartphone supports several popular AI models and aims to combine artificial intelligence features with solid performance, military-grade durability, and long battery life.
The BL7000 is powered by Blackview’s Doke AI system, which integrates some of the leading global AI models, including GPT-4o mini, Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental, and DeepSeek-R1. The device features voice control with speech recognition, allowing users to interact with the phone and issue commands hands-free, aiming to improve usability and safety.
The BL7000 also includes four AI-powered tools under the Doke AI suite, aimed at content creators. These include Hi Doki, a voice assistant for Q&A-style interactions, and ImageX, an app that enables AI-assisted photo editing. For video editing, the Vidgen app offers tools designed to deliver results with a cinematic feel, while Soundle allows users to compose music directly on the device.
The BL7000 is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with a dedicated AI processor, HyperEngine. It supports up to 24 GB of RAM (including virtual memory) and 256 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 2 TB. This configuration should be sufficient for handling a wide range of apps and storing large amounts of media content without issue.
The Blackview BL7000 features a 6.78-inch 2.4K FHD+ display with a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, which adjusts based on usage scenarios. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 750 nits and includes an enhanced eye comfort mode, as well as an updated Glove Mode 2.0 for easier operation while wearing gloves. For durability, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Powering the device is a 7,500 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, this setup can deliver up to 43.5 hours of talk time or over 7 hours of continuous video playback.
The Blackview BL7000 is equipped with a 50 MP Samsung JN1 main sensor and a 20 MP night vision camera, aimed at improving low-light photography. On the front, it features a 32 MP selfie camera designed for video calls and personal photos. The front camera supports 2K video recording and is capable of capturing clear footage even in low-light conditions.
As expected from a rugged smartphone, the BL7000 is certified to IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H standards. It even exceeded standard durability expectations by surviving drops from up to 2 meters. The device features a frame made of aviation-grade aluminum alloy, reinforced with dual-injection molding, waterproof membranes, and dedicated shock-absorbing corners. According to the manufacturer, the materials used provide up to 150% greater drop resistance compared to similar devices.
The Blackview BL7000 is now available for purchase, and the brand’s official store on AliExpress is offering a significant discount to celebrate its global launch. Currently, it is priced at $179.99, down from the original price of $299.99. However, this promotion is only available until May 19, so interested buyers may want to act quickly.
