Huawei P70 case leaks online, revealing its rear camera cutout design

-

new leak has revealed the Huawei P70 case design, confirming its camera setup. The case in question is not the original Huawei case, but a third-party option that users will be able to purchase once the device launches. From the leaked case image, we can see that the coming flagship device from Huawei’s P series will launch with a triple rear camera setup.

The design of the camera island is triangle-ish, with curved edges instead of sharp edges. The largest camera sensor will sit towards the far right-hand side of the cutout, hence occupying more space. For previous reveals on this device, we can expect this large sensor to be a 1-inch OV50H or an IMX989 sensor, which might serve as the main camera sensor.

To help take pictures at varying focal lengths, this large sensor might house a physical variable aperture. The other two cutouts will be of the same size and will house 50MP lenses. These might be the ultra-wide and telephoto camera sensors that this device will rely on.

Aside from the three camera cutouts that we have identified, the leaked image of the Huawei P70 case shows off yet another cutout on the camera island. This fourth cutout might house the device’s flashlight which will help light up pictures in very dark environments. Additional information that we can deduce from this case is the possible size of this coming device.

The cases shown in the leaked images fall towards the 6.8-inch size but this device will also offer a 6.58-inch option. It’ll launch with a large-screen Pro variant (which the case possibly belongs to) and a small-screen base model. Any additional information on this coming device will be covered in the weeks leading up to its official launch.
