Xiaomi has quietly launched a new budget smartwatch on the European market. The Redmi Watch 6 Active is now available in three color options, features a bright AMOLED display, and is fully compatible with devices running Android or iOS.

Very little time has passed since the Redmi Watch 6 Active’s launch in China. Xiaomi typically waits a few months between releasing new products in China and making them available globally. However, the Redmi Watch 6 Active has quietly appeared in Europe on one of Xiaomi’s regional websites.
Experts had previously predicted that the Redmi Watch 6 Active would be offered in Europe for €50 (~$58), serving as a more affordable alternative to the Redmi Watch 6 Lite, which currently costs $75. So far, Xiaomi has refrained from announcing an official price for Eurozone countries. Despite this, retailer Alza has already started selling the new model in Matte Silver, Midnight Black, and Sunset Orange for €49.90 (~$50).
Meanwhile, Xiaomi officially launched this smartwatch in Poland for PLN 199 (~$53) in the same three launch colors. The wearable device features a 1.85-inch AMOLED display and a battery that provides up to 18 days of use without recharging. Measuring 44.5×39.4×9.99 mm, the gadget weighs 26 g without the included strap.
In addition to a screen with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and a 470 mAh battery, the model is IP68-certified, features a Bluetooth 5.3 module, and is compatible with smartphones running Android 8.0 or iOS 14.0 and later versions. Unfortunately, the contactless payment feature remains exclusive to the Chinese market.
