Samsung Electronics and Netflix are inviting fans to take a look at the inside out and celebrate the end of the cult series Stranger Things, which has been a staple of modern pop culture for nearly a decade. To celebrate the end of the final season, Samsung Galaxy smartphone users in 186 countries were given the opportunity to download the exclusive Stranger Things theme and wallpaper for free via the Galaxy Store.
The offer is available for a limited time to those who download or launch the Netflix app starting January 12 (Google Play, App Store).
Almost immediately after its release in 2016, Stranger Things turned from a TV series into a real global phenomenon that influenced the rapid development of Netflix as one of the world’s leading entertainment services. The Hawkins story has captivated viewers of all ages and from different countries, sparking a wave of discussions, theories and cultural references. After the release of the first part of the fifth season on November 27, 2025, the series topped the charts in 91 countries and garnered 59.6 million views in just the first five days, showing the strongest start of any English-language series in Netflix’s history.

In addition, Stranger Things is the first series on the platform to simultaneously bring all five seasons to the Global Top 10 and hold this position for five consecutive weeks. All episodes of the final season are now available to watch worldwide exclusively on Netflix. Moreover, the release of some parts of the series resulted in the platform’s servers being overloaded. This was the case with the release of the second part of the fourth season, the start of the fifth season, and, not surprisingly, with the release of the finale, which was broadcast even in some cinemas in the United States and Canada, and all tickets for the screenings were sold out very quickly.
Exclusive content from Samsung, inspired by the fifth season, continues this success. Between January 12 and February 22, users can enjoy a special theme and five unique wallpapers that bring key characters and iconic locations from the series to life – from the familiar Hawkins to the disturbing Underside. The visual elements convey the atmosphere of the show and allow fans to integrate their favorite Stranger Things universe into their everyday smartphone use.
Samsung and Netflix have a long history of partnerships, and the current project is a logical extension of their previous collaborations. Recently, the two companies offered special themes for the worldwide hit film “KPop Demon Hunters”, and together they celebrated the release of the fourth season of Stranger Things.
