Xiaomi has managed to double the capacity of its popular Jinshajiang portable battery with a magnetic mount, while practically not changing its dimensions. The new ultra-thin Jinshajiang Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000 45W is currently raising funds on a crowdfunding platform in China, where it is priced at approximately $54.

The device is 13.2 mm thick and weighs 195 g. Inside, there are two GSR silicon-carbon batteries of 5000 mAh each, which provide an energy density of 840 Wh/l.

The previous 5000 mAh version has already gained considerable popularity. This new product offers users twice the power in a body that remains almost as thin.

The dimensions of Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000 45W are 102×70.5×13.2 mm and the weight is 195 g. Two 5000 mAh GSR silicon-carbon anode cells are integrated, which have an energy density of 840 Wh/l with a silicon content of 16%, which corresponds to the battery technology of the flagship Xiaomi 17 smartphone. The 45W wired output supports backward compatibility with 40W, 30W, and 27W modes, while the 20W wireless magnetic charging is compatible with iPhone and Xiaomi mobile phones. It is possible to use both wired and wireless charging channels simultaneously, and the external battery itself restores its own energy reserve at 30W. The timing of the new product’s appearance on the international market is not yet determined, as only crowdfunding for China is underway, but the device has already passed 3C certification and meets the standards of GB47372-2026.

The used silicon-carbon GSR anode cell, which provides an energy density of 840 Wh/L, is not a component of the usual level for power banks – a similar chemical structure is used by Xiaomi in the 8400 mAh Jinshajiang battery for the top Xiaomi 17 Max smartphone. Due to the presence of 16% silicon in the anode, it is possible to accumulate more lithium ions per unit volume compared to conventional graphite anodes, which allowed Xiaomi engineers to fit 10,000 mAh into a body with a thickness of only 13.2 mm without the traditional increase in weight and dimensions.

For comparison, most external batteries of similar capacity on the market have a thickness of 20-25 mm. With its 13.2 mm thickness, the Jinshajiang 10000 looks really slim, so you can easily put it in your pocket with your phone without feeling uncomfortable with the combination. The 20W wireless magnetic charging is compatible with devices that support Qi2 technology, which includes models from Apple, Xiaomi, and any other smartphone with a suitable magnetic interface. The magnetic positioning system is designed to guarantee stability during operation, not just to fix the device.

The 45W wired output meets the charging speed requirements of most modern flagships. The possibility of parallel operation of both channels – wireless and wired – allows you to charge two gadgets simultaneously on the go.

The first modification of Jinshajiang Magnetic with a 5000 mAh capacity and 15W power made its debut alongside the Xiaomi 17 line in September 2025. The slim 6mm original version became popular mainly among iPhone users looking for a MagSafe-compatible portable charger from the Xiaomi ecosystem. The new 10,000mAh version with 45W of power offers double the capacity and three times the speed of power transfer through the cable, while adding only 7.2mm to the thickness, which is a reasonable compromise for the sake of doubling the battery life.
