Xiaomi has recently begun rolling out the July 2026 security patch. In just a few days, 58 devices from the Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO lineups have already received the update. The update is already available to users in the global region, the European Economic Area (EEA), India, Turkey, Taiwan, Indonesia, and China, with a rollout to other regions planned for the near future.
This release is extremely important. Google’s July update addresses more than 40 vulnerabilities in the previous software version, including five critical-level issues. That’s why you shouldn’t put off this update as a routine task – install it as soon as possible.

Currently, 58 devices have been updated: the list includes flagship, mid-range, and budget smartphones, as well as several tablets from all three brands. Five critical vulnerabilities have been addressed: Google confirmed fixes for over 40 issues in its July 2026 security bulletin, including the month’s most serious threats. A large-scale rollout is underway in various regions: the process has begun in the global version, the EEA, India, Turkey, Taiwan, Indonesia, and China. Other regions will follow shortly.

Typically, monthly security patches do not contain significant changes. However, the July 2026 release is an exception. In it, the developers fixed five critical vulnerabilities – the highest severity level according to Google’s classification. In the worst-case scenarios, these critical vulnerabilities allow remote execution of arbitrary code or elevation of privileges without any user interaction. Although not all such vulnerabilities are exploited by attackers in practice, the presence of five such flaws in a single month is reason enough to update immediately without delay.

Xiaomi is rolling out updates in waves. If your device is on the list above but you haven’t received a notification yet, wait a few days and check again.
