Ukrainian simulator Remote Reaper: FPV Drone has received a major update 0.8.0. It significantly expands the game’s capabilities, introduces some visual improvements, and opens up a new level of interaction for users. The game is currently in early access on Steam, but is quickly approaching its release.
The Remote Reaper: FPV Drone, created by an independent Ukrainian developer, offers a detailed simulation of the combat use of FPV drones. The simulator recreates flight physics with aerodynamics, battery operation, the impact of electronic warfare, and the ability to customize the interface through a custom OSD. The enemies are represented not only by light vehicles – the scenarios include heavy armored vehicles and helicopters that can be equipped with electronic warfare systems and additional protection.

Users have access to various control modes: from the most realistic one using an FPV controller or gamepad to a simplified version with a keyboard and mouse. At the same time, the development is ongoing, and the author actively takes into account community feedback, gradually improving the simulator.
One of the innovations is the mission editor that allows you to create your own scenarios and training tasks. Players can change maps, add buildings, place targets and obstacles, creating unique game situations. However, the developer emphasizes that this is only the initial stage of the tool’s development, and in the future, its functionality will be expanded based on user ideas.
Another important change was the emergence of a full-fledged multiplayer. The cooperative mode allows you to complete missions together, test created scenarios, and interact as a full-fledged FPV drone crew. Players can coordinate actions to detect, track, and engage targets, which significantly increases the level of immersion and teamwork.
“Multiplayer and the mission editor forced me to conduct a large-scale optimization of all game systems. Stability, performance and overall physics quality have reached a new level. In addition, the simulator has lost weight and takes up almost 20% less disk space!” the developer said. The 0.8.0 update, which includes full-fledged multiplayer and a mission editor, is already available.
