In one of the world’s most popular online games, Fortnite, a map called “The Donation Map” has appeared, which faithfully recreates Kyiv’s Independence Square. As announced by Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science, and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, the more time a player spends on the map, the more money will be donated to the restoration of Ukraine through UNITED24. The funds will be directed towards building an outpatient clinic in Mykolaiv region.
The map was created as part of an innovative initiative by the Kyiv and Paris offices of the advertising agency Havas and UNITED24. With the help of this tool, people from all over the world will not only be able to virtually visit Kyiv but also make a donation towards the reconstruction of the destroyed Ukrainian hospital.

Fortnite is one of the most popular online games in the world. As of 2024, it has over 500 million registered players. In the game, not only developers but also independent creators can generate new locations, or maps. Each such map is monetized if players spend a lot of time on it, completing tasks or buying skins.

All funds collected will be directed towards the restoration of the outpatient clinic for primary medical care in Prybuzke, Mykolaiv region. This clinic will serve as a means to address urgent medical needs arising among residents of regions close to the front line.

Recently, UNITED24, together with the French developer Endorah, recreated the salt mines of Soledar in Minecraft. Users are invited to play the game Minesalt, collect 140 crystals, and, at the same time, help rebuild the school destroyed by a Russian missile on October 11, 2022. The school, where 250 children were studying before the full-scale war, was targeted.
Players in the virtual mines of Soledar will be accompanied by UNITED24 ambassadors: Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group; Nobel laureate Paul Nurse; actor Misha Collins; boxer Oleksandr Usyk; astronaut Scott Kelly; footballer Oleksandr Zinchenko; actresses Katherine Winnick and Ivanna Sakhno.
