At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Lenovo showcased an updated portfolio of devices and solutions aimed at implementing and accelerating AI-driven tools for business and productivity. The company presented both commercially ready models and concept devices that point to new directions in the development of personal computers and workstations.

Proofs of Concept
Lenovo unveiled the ThinkBook VertiFlex concept – a 14-inch laptop measuring 17.9 mm thick and weighing 1.39 kg. The device can quickly switch between a traditional horizontal orientation and a vertical mode, which is designed for coding, document reading, or multitasking with split-screen workflows.

The second concept, Lenovo Smart Motion, is an “intelligent” laptop stand that integrates with cameras and microphones and supports voice and gesture control. It enables automatic face tracking, voice commands, and features designed to help maintain ergonomics and user well-being.

In display technology, Lenovo introduced the NaturaSynth Display concept – an LCD panel designed to minimize the impact of blue light, reducing its content to less than 1%. The hardware-based zero-blue-light technology aims to help reduce eye strain.
Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 3
The ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 is positioned as a high-performance mobile workstation for professionals seeking maximum performance, reliability, and modern features. It can serve as a full replacement for a desktop PC. Inside, it features the latest Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors with configurations of up to 24 cores and an integrated NPU for accelerated AI tasks. Coupled with NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell graphics and 24 GB of VRAM, the laptop is equipped to handle demanding workloads such as graphics processing, 3D visualization, and other resource-intensive tasks.

Lenovo also offers software solutions. The Lenovo AI Developer suite combines open-source libraries, AI tools, and frameworks with the company’s high-performance workstations, enabling specialists to create, scale, and secure their workflows. To help users realize practical benefits from these systems, Lenovo provides a set of AI PC Services, including AI PC Fast Start, Care of One, and AI PC Premier Support. These services facilitate quick deployment of new devices, personalized support, automated assistance, and robust protection for corporate data.
Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 8
This model combines Lenovo’s advanced workstation expertise with a thin and lightweight form factor. It features the latest second-generation Intel Core Ultra processors with an NPU for accelerated AI processing, along with discrete NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 series Blackwell graphics.
Lenovo ThinkPad P16v Gen 3
This mobile workstation combines performance, affordability, and a sleek design. It features an updated chassis with a 16:10 display, slim bezels, and a high screen-to-body ratio, striking a balance between modern aesthetics and practical usability.

The combination of high performance and expanded functionality makes the ThinkPad P16v Gen 3 a strong choice for professionals across various fields who expect quality, efficiency, and durability from a workstation.
ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition
This is a stylish, high-performance laptop now available in Glacier White. Offered in 14- and 15-inch display options, it delivers over 40 TOPS of computing power, comparable to Copilot+ PC-class devices. With Intel Core Ultra processors and Windows 11, the laptop provides fast performance with AI support, along with reliability and security.

In the second half of the year, Lenovo plans to integrate the Smart Share feature, previously available in Aura Edition, into the Lenovo Smart Connect app. This update will simplify and unify interaction between devices, allowing users to manage their digital ecosystem and quickly share high-resolution photos and videos. Lenovo’s commercial PCs and workstations running Windows 11 will also benefit from ThinkShield, a comprehensive cybersecurity suite covering the entire chain – from hardware and software to endpoints and cloud services.
ThinkVision P40WD-40
Lenovo introduced the ThinkVision P40WD-40, a professional curved ultrawide display designed for users who need a large workspace and high image accuracy. The monitor features a 39.7-inch panel with a 5120×2160 resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. With 98% DCI-P3 color coverage and IPS Black technology, it delivers rich colors and deep contrast, while the 2500R curvature creates an immersive viewing experience.

The ThinkVision P40WD-40 comes with a Thunderbolt 4 dock, offering single-cable connectivity, DisplayPort ports, up to 140W PD3.1 charging, and 2.5G RJ45 Ethernet. This setup reduces cable clutter and streamlines workflow. It is also the first desktop monitor to support a variable refresh rate from 24 to 120 Hz, while consuming 34% less energy than required by ENERGY STAR 8.0 standards.
New smart docking stations
The flagship ThinkPad Thunderbolt 5 Smart Dock 7500 is designed as a central hub for the workspace, offering up to 120 Gbps of bandwidth. It supports connecting three 8K displays at 60 Hz and one 4K display, or two 4K monitors at 240 Hz plus two more at 120 Hz for smooth performance. PD 3.1 support allows power delivery of up to 180W.
The ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock Gen 2 7500 supports connecting a single 8K display at 60 Hz or two 4K monitors at 144 Hz. It offers up to 100W charging via PD 3.1 and features four active USB ports on the front panel.

The ThinkPad USB4 Smart Dock 5500 leverages USB4 technology to deliver four times the bandwidth, helping accelerate workflows and create a more flexible workspace. It supports a single 8K display at 60 Hz or two 4K monitors at 144 Hz, with PD 3.1 power delivery up to 100W. All ThinkPad Smart Docks integrate with Lenovo’s Accessories Fleet Manager, allowing IT teams to remotely manage, monitor, and control devices across the organization.
Individual AI agents
The company is testing a pilot program, Lenovo AI Agent Pilot Program, built on Intel AI Assistant Builder. This modular software toolkit is designed to help create and deploy secure generative AI solutions tailored to specific workflows. As part of the pilot project for IEEE, the assistant automates review processes, including manuscript formatting checks, reviewer selection, and feedback summarization.
This pilot project is part of Lenovo’s broader AI PC Fast Start initiative. Designed for the early and secure deployment of on-premises AI solutions using customer data, the program aims to unlock new opportunities in industries such as publishing, healthcare, and finance, while driving measurable gains in productivity and IT efficiency.
Magic Bay Tiko Pro concept
The Lenovo Magic Bay HUD will soon be available as an accessory or bundled with select ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 models in certain markets. This projection display attaches magnetically via Pogo Pin and provides a convenient way to expand the workspace. Users can display notes, notifications, or transcripts on it. The HUD operates continuously and integrates with the Lenovo AI Now assistant to support focused and efficient work.
Accessibility
The new Lenovo ThinkPad P16v Gen 3, P16s Gen 4, and P14s Gen 6 will be available in September 2025, while the ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 and P1 Gen 8 are expected in October 2025. These mobile workstations will be offered in select markets worldwide.
