At IFA 2025, Samsung showcased its AI Home concept, “Future Living: Now,” introduced the Vision AI Companion technology, and unveiled several long-awaited devices. The highlights include the Galaxy S25 FE, the most affordable model in the Galaxy S25 lineup featuring One UI 8 and the latest Galaxy AI capabilities. Samsung also presented the new Galaxy Tab S11 series of tablets, which offer premium features along with the latest Galaxy AI tools and the Samsung DeX experience.

The Galaxy S25 FE comes with AI tools for photo and video editing, including Generative Edit and Instant Slow-mo. Its upgraded 12 MP front camera, paired with the ProVisual Engine, delivers higher-quality selfies. A 4,900 mAh battery and an enhanced vapor chamber help maintain battery life and consistent performance, while 45 W fast wired charging ensures users can stay connected longer.
“Galaxy S25 FE plays an important role as a gateway to the broader Galaxy AI ecosystem, making these capabilities more accessible to a wider audience,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “Galaxy S25 FE allows more people to make their everyday lives more convenient and creative.”

With One UI 8 and multimodal AI agents, the Galaxy S25 FE combines voice, touch, and visual controls. Gemini Live enables real-time visual conversations, allowing the device to “see” what the user sees. New features also include Now Bar, a lock-screen panel providing useful tips and updates, and Now Brief, personalized digests with traffic information, reminders, and calendar events. Samsung has strengthened data protection with KEEP (Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection), which creates separate encrypted environments for each app, ensuring that personal data is processed directly on the device.

The Galaxy S25 FE camera includes AI features to enhance Galaxy Nightography, a Low Noise mode for improved night shots, and Super HDR video for more realistic colors and contrast. Editing tools include Generative Edit, which can remove unwanted objects from a frame, and Audio Eraser, which eliminates background noise from videos. Portrait Studio allows users to create realistic avatars, while Auto Trim automatically highlights the best moments in video clips. The device features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and comes with an updated Armor Aluminum frame.

The Galaxy S25 FE is available in Icy Blue, Jet Black, Navy, and White. It will receive seven generations of OS updates and seven years of security patch support. The smartphone will go on sale starting September 4 in selected markets and includes a six-month subscription to Google AI Pro. The price is set at $650.
Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 tablets. Both models feature the updated Galaxy AI integrated into One UI 8, offering multimodal capabilities that allow the devices to understand text, voice, and images simultaneously.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra features an updated Samsung DeX and an improved S Pen, enhancing multitasking and creative workflows. Its Galaxy AI analyzes text input, voice commands, and on-screen content in real time, offering contextual suggestions. The Gemini Live feature allows real-time screen and visual data sharing: users can show an object via the camera or open a document, and the AI can explain diagrams, create summaries, or assist with study materials. Additional Galaxy AI tools include Drawing Assist, which converts sketches into polished images, and Writing Assist, which refines the style and tone of text before inserting it into a document or email.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series marks Samsung’s first tablets with One UI 8 and features a significantly updated Samsung DeX. New capabilities include Extended Mode, support for up to four separate workspaces, and easy window dragging between displays. Paired with the Book Cover Keyboard Slim, the tablet can function as a mobile workstation with instant access to Galaxy AI.

Both models feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with peak brightness up to 1,600 nits and 5.2 mm bezels. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is just 5.1 mm thick, making it one of the lightest and thinnest tablets on the market. Users will have immediate access to apps like Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, LumaFusion, Notion, and others for learning, drawing, planning, and project work. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 will be available from September 4 in gray and silver finishes.
