Triumphant return of AM4 and expansion of the AM5 line

The main surprise for the industry was the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the legendary AM4 processor socket, which has become one of the most successful platforms in PC history, covering five generations of chips. In honor of this event, the company is bringing back the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition to the market. This is the world’s first processor with 3D cache technology, which allows gamers to get a huge performance boost without replacing the motherboard or RAM.

The model is based on the Zen 3 architecture, has a total of 96 MB of cache for reduced latency, and is compatible with AMD 400-series and 500-series boards. Sales will start on June 25, 2026 at a price of USD 349, and the package includes an innovative long-lasting Carbice Ice Pad for temperature optimization.

For those who are moving to modern rails, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D 8-core 16-thread processor is designed to make the benefits of 3D V-Cache more accessible. The chip with a total cache size of 104 MB and an overclocking frequency of up to 4.5 GHz will go on sale on July 16, 2026, at a price of $329. The model has a 120W thermal package and offers the ultimate gaming power in its class. At the same time, AMD has officially guaranteed support for the AM5 socket with the release of new architectures until at least 2029, which protects users’ long-term investment in system upgrades.

RDNA 4 global rollout and support for previous generations

In the desktop graphics segment, AMD announced the international launch of the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card, which builds on the success of the XT version. The card will be available from retail partners around the world starting June 1, 2026 at a price of $549.

The manufacturer has also demonstrated loyalty to the owners of previously released systems by extending the compatibility of FSR 4.1 upscaling technology to previous generation GPUs with RDNA 3 architecture, which is scheduled for release in July 2026.

Professional tools and automatic memory overclocking

For content creators and developers, the company announced Radeon AI FSR PRO technology with Ray Regeneration, which integrates into workstation software and is certified for Radeon AI PRO R9700.

Radeon AI PRO R9000 series GPU accelerators, which have already proven to be leaders in terms of price and performance in AI tasks, will soon receive a major update to the 26.Q2 PRO driver. The new software will bring official certification and validation for more than 50 professional programs on Windows and Linux, including such popular packages as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and AutoDesk Maya 2024.

System performance was not overlooked either. The company introduced the AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency (ULL) mode, which simplifies automatic overclocking of RAM. Modules from certified partners will be available on the market in June 2026.

Using ULL-enabled memory provides an additional 4% FPS compared to regular EXPO profiles. Moreover, compared to the standard JEDEC settings without overclocking based on the Ryzen 7 9700X processor, the new technology demonstrates an impressive increase: the average frame rate increases by 13% (in more than 30 tested games), and the minimum 1% FPS is improved by 15% (in more than 25 games).
