OpenAI has updated the ChatGPT Go tariff, making it much more attractive to the mass audience. Now the subscription provides unlimited access to the GPT-5.2 Instant model, as well as significantly increased limits on messages, file uploads, and image generation. ChatGPT Go was launched a few months ago and was initially available mainly in developing countries, including Indonesia. Recently, the service was officially launched in the US for $8 per month. This is about $12 cheaper than the standard ChatGPT Plus subscription, which costs $20.

According to OpenAI, the Go tariff is aimed at users who actively work with files and images and want to access new models at a lower price. Together with GPT-5.2 Instant, users get enhanced content creation capabilities, more requests, and higher download limits.
Another advantage of the tariff is the increased memory and wider context window. This allows ChatGPT to better remember user information and use data from previous dialogs in new conversations.
How ChatGPT Go differs from Plus and Pro
OpenAI emphasizes that ChatGPT Go does not support advanced reasoning features and is based solely on GPT-5.2 Instant. Instead, the Plus tariff is focused on more complex tasks requiring deeper analysis and allows you to choose between different models.

In addition, the company offers a premium ChatGPT Pro plan for $200 per month. It provides full access to the most powerful GPT-5.2 Pro model, maximum memory and context, as well as early access to new features.
OpenAI also notes that users who want to get rid of ads in ChatGPT completely should subscribe to the Plus or Pro level.
