Lenovo already has an impressive portfolio of portable gaming devices, but it seems that there is always room for one more interesting thing. During MWC 2026, the manufacturer demonstrated an ambitious concept called Legion Go Fold, built around a flexible OLED display. At first glance, the design looks a bit bulky, but after a short acquaintance, it becomes clear that the key advantage of the device is its multifunctionality.

The screen diagonal is 11.6″, which seems large for a portable console. At the same time, the main feature of the display is that it can be folded in half to create a more compact 7.7-inch panel. When folded, the device becomes much more convenient for transportation and use, and the aspect ratio becomes more familiar. If necessary, the screen can be easily expanded to provide more space for gaming or working.

The most interesting solution in the Legion Go Fold is the detachable controllers and the availability of several attachment points. If space permits, the gamepads can be detached, the display rotated to a horizontal position, and reattached to create a widescreen gaming format. Another option is to combine the controllers using an accessory like the Joy-Con Grip and place the device on a stand, which is a branded case.

In addition, the case has a strip with pogo contacts for connecting a wireless keyboard, which actually turns the system into a compact gaming laptop. In general, the concept supports at least four modes of use, which emphasizes the versatility of the design.

The small 1-inch OLED display located on the right gamepad deserves special attention. It supports widgets for displaying time, performance parameters, and other indicators, and can also act as a touchpad. This is especially useful when running PC games that were originally designed for mouse and keyboard control. Similar to Legion Go (you can find a review of this console here) and Legion Go 2, the right controller has a small scroll wheel and a hidden sensor, which allows it to be used as a vertical mouse for first-person shooters.

Currently, Lenovo has not announced any specific plans for mass production of this device, so nothing has been reported about its specifications. However, the presented sample was equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 48 Wh battery. If the concept ever becomes a commercial product, it would be logical to see a larger battery.

The Legion Go Fold concept is an interesting demonstration of the potential of flexible displays. It shows how innovations can expand the capabilities of familiar device categories. If the idea resonates with users, it is possible that Lenovo will finalize the concept and bring it to the market. But it is worth considering that such a design with a large number of components will not be cheap.
