OnePlus has begun a phased rollout of OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 update for OnePlus 11 smartphone. The company reports that the update is rolling out in waves, and information on the progress of the update will be posted in the relevant support thread. Among the new features is the ability to launch memory cleanup tools directly from the Smart Sidebar, which makes it easier to manage device resources.

The update also brings a number of improvements to the photo and video experience. In the Photos app, automatic alignment is now available when cropping and rotating portrait and architectural photos. The video editor has been enhanced with support for cutting, splitting, and stitching multiple clips, adding music and text, adjusting playback speed, cropping, and other video creation tools.

Users can also reorder shortcuts after resizing app icons and adding frequently used shortcuts. In Photos, new filtering options have been introduced, including for Moving Photos, Screenshots and Screen Recordings, and Edited Files, making it easier to navigate the gallery.

Additionally, the ability to resize clone program icons by dragging and dropping and add shortcuts to them has been implemented. The home screen now supports stacking 2×1 widgets, which allows you to use the available space more efficiently.

The Search Circle feature has been optimized. In the gesture navigation mode, it can be launched by touching and holding the area where the gesture bar is usually located, even if the bar itself is hidden. The algorithm for analyzing thumbnails in the Photos app has also been improved, making image and video previews faster.

In the Security and Privacy block, you can now edit photos and videos directly in Private Safe without having to unlock the files first. When you launch the Phone Manager app, a pop-up message is now displayed asking you to allow automatic block list updates via Wi-Fi or mobile network. If you agree, the block list is updated instantly, which increases the effectiveness of threat detection and the level of protection.

OnePlus also notes that this update is only available to users who have already upgraded to OxygenOS 16. Owners of devices with OxygenOS 15 installed are advised to upgrade to OxygenOS 16 first to access version 16.0.2.401.
