Most brands try to collect all the key announcements at one time, creating the maximum information effect. OPPO chose a different model and divided April into two major events. The company has already held the first event on April 1, and the second is scheduled for April 21. Find X9 Ultra is a landmark product for OPPO. It’s the brand’s first Ultra device to be released simultaneously in both China and international markets. All previous Ultra models have remained domestic exclusives, so this new approach signals a strategic shift, not just an expansion of the lineup.
The camera in this smartphone is one of the main highlights. It includes a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and the world’s first 50-megapixel module with 10x optical zoom, implemented through the Quintuple Prism Reflection Periscope system. The 50 megapixel system is complemented by an ultra-wide module customized in conjunction with Hasselblad. The presence of a separate camera button on the side with an orange accent emphasizes the company’s focus on positioning the device as a cameraphone. Other features include a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a frequency of 144 Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a 7050 mAh battery.
Find X9s Pro looks no less interesting from an engineering point of view. Placing a 7025 mAh battery in a body with a 6.32-inch screen and a weight of about 198 g required serious technical solutions. The smartphone has a dual 200-megapixel camera from Hasselblad, where both the main module and the periscopic telephoto lens have the same resolution. The device is based on Dimensity 9500, not Snapdragon. The screen is a 6.32-inch LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K and a frequency of 144 Hz. At the moment, the model is focused exclusively on the Chinese market.
The upcoming event on April 21 also emphasizes OPPO’s ambitions in the tablet segment. The 8.8-inch Pad Mini with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 8000 mAh battery, and 279 grams is in direct competition with the iPad Mini. In turn, the Pad 5 Pro with a 13.2-inch screen and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is aimed at users who value performance.
In the wearables segment, the key point for Enco Clip2 was not so much the design as the availability. The first generation was constantly out of stock due to limited production volumes. OPPO has confirmed that the second version is going into full mass production, which should solve the problem of shortages.
In total, the company will present 7 devices at the two events. It is obvious that OPPO is not trying to stretch releases in time, but rather acts as aggressively as possible, forming a tight launch schedule that is already proving effective.
