Information about a new, not-so-mysterious device has appeared in the Geekbench database. We are talking about the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, whose global version has been spotted on Geekbench under model number 2609FRA74G. According to the listing, the device is equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, Adreno 812 graphics, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 16. The benchmark results were 924 points in the single-core test and 2,923 points in the multi-core test – solid figures for a device in this class.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Global Specs

If you are interested in the technical details, here is a more complete picture based on the leaks surrounding this model:

  • The global version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max (model 2609FRA74G) has been confirmed on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 16.
  • Rumored specifications include a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 9,210 mAh battery, and 100 W charging.
  • The camera setup is said to include a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 32 MP front-facing camera.
  • Compared with the standard Note 17 Pro (Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, 9,000 mAh battery, 67 W charging, and a price of around $220), the Max version offers an upgraded processor, larger battery, and faster charging.
  • The official release date and international pricing for the Max version have not yet been confirmed.

However, there is one important point: this time, the “Max” name actually means something. The standard Note 17 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and supports charging at up to 67 W, with pricing starting at around $220. The Pro Max moves up to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, adds another 33 W to the charging speed, and also comes with a larger battery. This is more than just a nominal spec upgrade.

The previous Geekbench leak contained information only about the processor and RAM capacity. This time, thanks to a clear comparison with the Note 17 Pro, we finally have a better idea of what the “Pro Max” brings to the table over the standard Pro model. It was worth the wait.

If we use the base Pro model’s $220 starting price as a reference, it is likely that the Pro Max will also be priced reasonably. Redmi’s mid-range lineup has been exceptionally competitive lately. Does anyone else think that, by comparison, Redmi is making the “regular flagship” segment look a little too expensive?
