If you remember and loved the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles feature film since its release, there’s a good chance that it was once on your shelf in the form of a cassette. Times have changed, but the spirit of the 1990s is back. Vice Press has officially announced the release of a special VHS edition of the cult movie.

The collector’s edition includes several design options. They differ in box design, color accents, and decorative elements, although all versions use the British PAL format, which makes the tapes incompatible with standard VHS players. Despite this, the releases are primarily aimed at collectors and fans of visual aesthetics.

The lineup includes three main versions. Each of them comes with a green cassette and an A3 poster created by artist Matt Ferguson. Two versions have interchangeable stickers on the spine of the box that allow you to style the cassette as one of the four turtles. The third edition does not contain stickers, but has a double-sided cover for those who do not want to be limited to one design.

The price of each version is approximately $55. The rarest boxed version is limited to 200 copies, while the other two versions are available in 400 copies each.

At the same time, Vice Press is launching two versions of the original movie poster with titles and information blocks. These are 24×36-inch lithographs. The price is about $50 without a frame and about $140 with a frame. The standard edition is limited to 300 copies, and the foil version has an even smaller print run of 180 copies.

The return of interest in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes amid the franchise’s active development. Recently, a new short project has appeared in cinemas and is now available for viewing on Paramount+. The sequel to the animated hit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Chaos. After that, the franchise will return in live-action format with a new interpretation of familiar characters.

The question of whether pizza will remain the main fuel for the turtles in the 2030s is still open. But right now, fans can officially regain some of the atmosphere of the 1990s. The sale of all products starts on January 29 on the Vice-Press website.
