vivo is preparing to introduce its flagship X300 Ultra smartphone, which could set a new standard for color accuracy. According to preliminary data, the model will be announced in March in China. A Digital Chat Station insider reports that the key feature of the device will be a multispectral camera with a resolution of about 5 megapixels.
According to him, the vivo X300 Ultra based on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will have a special multispectral sensor of the company’s own design. It will have an increased size and more color channels, which will significantly improve the accuracy of color reproduction in photos and videos. This solution is expected to be one of the best in its class this year.
The use of this sensor should improve skin tones, white balance, and overall color stability. The technology can also have a positive impact on HDR, night shooting, and video quality in difficult lighting conditions.
According to other leaks, the main camera of the vivo X300 Ultra will have a 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 sensor with optical stabilization. The ultra-wide-angle module will be based on the Sony LYT-828 with a resolution of 50 megapixels, and the zoom will be handled by a 200 megapixel Samsung HPB periscopic telephoto lens. For selfies, there is a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus.
The smartphone will also support continuous optical zoom with a multi-focus system. However, according to sources, the special Action button for camera control, which was available in the previous X200 Ultra, will not be used in the new model.
Separately, it is reported that vivo X300 Ultra is being prepared for a global release. The device has already been certified in Europe and Indonesia, and its international debut is expected in the second quarter of this year.
