It appears that the testing phase for HyperOS 3.3 has come to an end, as Xiaomi has just begun rolling out the update publicly for select flagship smartphones, specifically the Xiaomi 17 series and the Xiaomi 15T Pro, upgrading the operating system to Android 17. Although this is technically a major platform upgrade, users shouldn’t expect any noticeable visual changes or new features, as previously mentioned in our earlier articles.
This release essentially lays the groundwork for integrating the advanced features and improvements that the upcoming HyperOS 4 will bring later this year. According to the changelog published by Ximitime, the key focus of HyperOS 3.3 is on improving system stability and adding the June 2026 security patch.

As part of the current rollout, the updated firmware with the index OS3.0.332.0.XPAMIXM, weighing in at 9.5 GB and codenamed Nezha, is being released as a public update for the global version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, while the OS3.0.332.0.XPAEUXM build, of similar size, is becoming available for the European variant of the same model. The base Xiaomi 17, codenamed “Pudding,” is receiving the public OS3.0.332.0.XPCMIXM, which is 7.5 GB in size, for the global market and the OS3.0.332.0.XPCEUXM build, which is 7.5 GB in size, for the European region. At the same time, the global version of the Xiaomi 15T Pro, codenamed Klimt, is being updated to version OS3.0.331.0.XOSMIXM (7.5 GB) via the Mi Pilot testing program. This means that initially, only a limited number of Xiaomi 15T Pro owners will be able to install this build before a larger-scale rollout begins.

Although HyperOS 3.3 doesn’t introduce a significant number of new features or interface changes, the download file size is very large. The reason is that the update includes a completely new base in the form of Android 17, which is quite large on its own, although truly major changes are already planned as part of the upcoming HyperOS 4.
Xiaomi typically rolls out software in phases, so it may take a few days before a notification about the update’s availability appears directly on your device. To check for the new version, go to the Settings menu, open the “About Phone” section, and tap the HyperOS logo. Users of the Xiaomi 15T Pro will have to wait a little longer, as the rollout is currently limited to the Mi Pilot beta channel for them.

Although the rollout of HyperOS 3.3 has only just begun, Xiaomi’s developers are already actively preparing for the launch of the highly anticipated HyperOS 4 platform. This update is set to be a major release, bringing significant cosmetic changes, new features, and comprehensive improvements to the entire system. HyperOS 4 is expected to be released in August alongside the debut of the new Xiaomi 18 lineup, and the software will begin rolling out to older smartphone models around September.
