Muse HiFi has unveiled the Muse 300 desktop DAC/AMP, which is positioned as the world’s first digital-to-analog converter and headphone amplifier with its own dedicated operating system. The new product is designed to redefine desktop audio by combining the new Muse OS with flagship-level hardware.

The device’s key feature is the Muse OS, which Muse HiFi has been developing for three years. Unlike Android-based solutions, this new specialized system is built around a powerful 32-bit microcontroller and optimized exclusively for audio tasks. According to the company, it delivers faster performance and is free from the typical issues found in other operating systems.

The Muse 300 is equipped with a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480×854. Users can choose from three interface options – Cyberpunk, Minimalist, and ACG – or upload their own background images as wallpapers. Each theme has its own unique style and completely transforms the user experience. Cyberpunk creates a futuristic atmosphere, the Minimalist theme offers a clean, minimalist interface, and the ACG theme is designed for anime fans. Additionally, the screen can be used as a secondary display for a computer or laptop.

The device is built around the flagship ES9039 Ultra DAC chip with HyperStream IV architecture, combined with two high-performance OPA1612 LPFs and dual TP6120A amplifier modules.

This architecture is designed to achieve immense output power, delivering up to 2,200 mW of pure signal through a 4.4 mm balanced output. At the same time, crosstalk and distortion remain at an extremely low level (0.0006% THD+N). The Muse 300 features a three-level gain mode, allowing users to perfectly tailor the settings for any headphones.

Muse HiFi paid special attention to sound tuning. The device features three hardware operating modes with no latency: Balanced, Tube, and ACG. Switching between them is performed using analog circuits without any loss of quality.

The Balanced mode delivers a balanced, natural sound with pronounced bass and clear instrument reproduction, suitable for most genres. Tube mode is designed to replicate the character of tube amplifiers with rich midrange, full-bodied vocals, and a smooth sound delivery. It is ideal for vocal-oriented genres. ACG mode is geared toward anime and video game enthusiasts, offering an energetic sound with an emphasis on vocals and fast dynamic response.

A multifunction button is used to control the device’s features, allowing you to adjust volume, operating modes, signal sources, and other settings without having to navigate through complex menus.

In wireless mode, the Muse 300 uses the QCC3095 chip with Bluetooth 5.4 support. It is also equipped with two Kalimba DSP processors clocked at 240 MHz to support high-resolution codecs such as aptX Lossless, LDAC, and Snapdragon Sound technology.

For power, the company developed a special adapter in collaboration with international manufacturers. It uses 50 low-ripple transformers, which help minimize noise and ensure a clean sound. The package includes four power cords compliant with U.S., U.K., Australian, and European standards. The rear panel features a variety of connectors, as well as XLR and RCA line outputs. 6.35 mm and 4.4 mm jacks are provided for connecting headphones.
