On March 2, one of the year’s major technology events, MWC 2026, opened in Barcelona, and Blackview used the occasion to present a range of new devices. The company is known for its rugged smartphones and tablets, which formed a significant part of the exhibition. The lineup was not limited to these categories, however. Blackview also showcased laptops, displays, and a pair of smart glasses with AI support, reflecting the broader industry trend toward integrating AI features into consumer devices.

Video report

Blackview presented its booth as an integrated ecosystem built around the concept “AI × Communication × Rugged × All-Scenario.” Our correspondent visited the MWC 2026 exhibition, examined the devices on display, and captured photos and videos to provide a closer look at the new gadgets introduced by the Chinese brand.

Blackview XPLORE Smartphone Series

The main highlights of the exhibition were the new devices in the XPLORE lineup. The brand brought three models to the event: XPLORE 6, XPLORE 6 Pro, and XPLORE 2 Satellite, which illustrate the company’s developments in the rugged device segment. According to Blackview representatives, these smartphones focus on high-performance hardware, advanced imaging systems, stable connectivity, durability, and extended service life.

XPLORE 6

The XPLORE 6 is positioned as the first rugged smartphone based on the flagship Dimensity 9400+ platform and the first device in this segment to feature a periscope telephoto lens. Cameras have traditionally not been a strong point of rugged smartphones, but Blackview appears to be attempting to change this perception. The device is equipped with 18 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage, which is intended to support demanding applications and multitasking.

The camera system includes a 50 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, which is relatively uncommon for rugged devices. As is often the case in this segment, the smartphone features more than one display: a 6.73-inch AMOLED main screen with a 3.2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, as well as a 1.47-inch secondary display on the rear panel. The front panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 8. The device is powered by a 12,000 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging.

XPLORE 6 Pro

The XPLORE 6 Pro, the more advanced model in the lineup, is oriented toward professional use rather than entertainment. It features a thermal imaging camera with a resolution of 256×192, along with enhanced algorithms designed to detect temperature anomalies and potential hazards. Such functionality can be used for tasks such as inspecting power lines, diagnosing equipment faults, or supporting search and rescue operations in low-visibility conditions. This capability allows the device to identify issues that may not be visible through standard imaging methods.

The Dimensity 9400+ platform supports real-time operation of the thermal imaging system. The XPLORE 6 Pro also features a 6.73-inch 3.2K AMOLED display and a 1.47-inch secondary screen for quick access to key applications. A 12,000 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging is intended to provide extended operating time.

XPLORE 2 Satellite

Another device in the series, the XPLORE 2 Satellite, also drew attention at the exhibition. The model was previously introduced at IFA 2025. The company describes it as the first rugged smartphone to support satellite voice messaging and eSIM functionality. It uses NTN technology in partnership with the global satellite connectivity provider Skylo. Even without access to terrestrial networks, users can send messages and location data.

The device features a 6.73-inch 3.2K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR and Ultra HDR, as well as 4K video recording at 60 FPS with HDR10+. The smartphone is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 platform and includes 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. The camera system consists of a 50 MP primary sensor, a 20 MP night vision camera, and a 50 MP front-facing camera.

Blackview MEGA 12

The Blackview booth also featured the MEGA 12 tablet, which the company announced earlier this year.

The company highlights that this is the world’s first tablet to combine 5G connectivity, AI capabilities, and IP68/IP69K dust and water resistance. It features a 12.2-inch display with a 2.4K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, and it supports Wi-Fi 6E.

Blackview MEGA 12

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 platform and offers 16 GB of RAM, expandable by an additional 32 GB, along with 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Audio performance is enhanced by the Smart-K BOX system with four speakers. Multi-OS 5.0, based on Android 16, provides smooth operation, while PC Mode 2.0 allows for use with a wireless keyboard and mouse. A 10,000 mAh battery with 55 W fast charging support ensures extended battery life.

The MEGA 12 was not alone at the booth, as the brand showcased a wide range of other tablets, including both rugged devices and models intended for entertainment and educational use. The lineup also included tablets designed for children, easily recognizable by their distinctive designs.

Blackview Active

The brand also took the opportunity to highlight its full range of rugged tablets. This includes the more basic Active 5 and Active 7 models, as well as the Pro variants: Active 8 Pro and Active 10 Pro, which feature notably large batteries of 22,000 mAh and 30,000 mAh, respectively.

The company also showcased the Active 12 Pro, announced last year. The brand positions it as the first rugged tablet to combine 5G connectivity with an integrated projector.

Blackview Active 12 Pro

At the exhibition, the projector’s capabilities were demonstrated in person. It offers 200 lumens of brightness, Full HD resolution, and can project an image up to 120″ in diagonal on almost any vertical surface.

Blackview AceBook 8 Pro and DCM 6 Pro

The company is also expanding its mobile office ecosystem. At MWC 2026, Blackview showcased the AceBook 8 Pro, featuring a 16-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor and comes with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. All components are housed in a sturdy metal chassis weighing 1.65 kg.

The laptop supports HDMI and Type-C connections, allowing multiple displays to be connected. For example, the DCM 6 Pro, announced by the company late last year, features two 14-inch IPS screens with a 1920×1080 resolution and a 178° viewing angle. It connects via a single USB-C cable and weighs approximately 1 kg, with each screen measuring 4.5 mm in thickness. The displays are TÜV Rheinland certified, reducing harmful blue light exposure. This device can be used alongside laptops, PCs, or tablets when a single standard screen is insufficient.

BV100 AI Smart Glasses

In today’s market, building an AI-powered device ecosystem has become almost a standard practice. Blackview already offers several products in this area, but the company continues to expand its lineup. At MWC 2026, it showcased the BV100 smart glasses, which feature AI capabilities and an 8 MP camera capable of capturing photos and recording 1200P video. Lightweight, comfortable, and ergonomically designed, the glasses are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for outdoor use.

The glasses support a voice-activated AI assistant, triggered by saying “Hey Cyan,” and feature touch controls, two open speakers, and Bluetooth 5.4 for smooth and stable connectivity. A 220 mAh battery provides up to 5 hours of audio playback and 23 hours in standby, with support for fast charging. In addition, the exhibition showcased Blackview headphones and smartwatches.

Together with the glasses, this forms a “golden trio” of sorts. The smartwatches provide continuous health monitoring, the headphones deliver an immersive audio experience, and the glasses allow for calls or capturing photos. In this way, Blackview is building a broader AI-enabled wearable ecosystem and integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into multiple aspects of everyday life.
