Video Report
A Root-Nation correspondent spent considerable time at the Motorola booth during MWC 2026 and is ready to share photos, video, and impressions from the exhibition.
Motorola Razr Fold
The company’s lineup already includes Razr foldable devices, and Motorola has now officially introduced a logical addition – the Razr Fold. At MWC 2026, the device attracted significant attention from visitors and media alike. Our correspondent had the opportunity to examine the device up close and came away with a generally positive first impression.
The Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch external display and an 8.09-inch internal 2K LTPO screen. The larger display area is intended for multitasking, communication, and media consumption. The smartphone operates smoothly, which is expected given the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The model is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery – one of the larger capacities among foldable devices – along with integrated AI tools and support for the Moto Pen Ultra. The device measures 4.55 mm in thickness when unfolded and 9.89 mm when folded.
The hinge uses a teardrop design that enables smooth opening and closing. It supports several usage scenarios, including a laptop-style mode for typing and a viewing mode for media consumption. A titanium plate is positioned beneath the display to help distribute stress in the fold area. The combination of Ultra-Thin Glass and an Anti-Shock Film is intended to improve durability while minimizing the visibility of a crease. The exterior is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, which increases resistance to drops, although this was not tested during the demonstration at the booth.
The Motorola Razr Fold is available in two finishes: Pantone Blackened Blue with a textured surface, and Pantone Lily White with a coating designed to resemble silk and a soft sheen. A separate version has also been introduced as part of the FIFA World Cup 26 Collection. This edition features an embossed pattern and an official FIFA World Cup 26 logo made of stainless steel with a 24-karat gold coating, giving the device a more distinctive appearance.

In terms of cameras, the manufacturer also places significant emphasis on imaging capabilities, which is reflected in the device receiving a DXOMARK Gold Label for image quality. The camera system includes:
- A 50 MP next-generation Sony LYTIA 828 sensor designed to provide high detail and accurate color reproduction. It supports 8K video recording and editing and carries a Pantone Validated certification.
- A 50 MP periscope telephoto camera based on the Sony LYTIA 600 sensor. It supports 3× optical zoom with OIS, while the 100× Super Zoom Pro feature, powered by Moto AI, enhances detail when capturing distant subjects.
A 50 MP ultra-wide module with a 122° field of view and Macro Vision functionality, allowing close-up shooting from distances of up to 3.5 cm.

The device also includes a 32 MP internal camera and a 20 MP external camera. The company states that the smartphone will receive up to seven Android OS updates along with seven years of security updates. It is the second device after the Motorola Signature, to receive this level of software support. The Signature model was also presented at the exhibition.

Alongside the Razr Fold, the booth also featured the Motorola Razr 60 and 60 Ultra. While these models are no longer new releases, they remain part of the company’s foldable lineup and continue to attract attention at the exhibition.

Particularly noteworthy is the limited edition featuring the official branding of the FIFA World Cup. The smartphone retains all the core features of the Razr 60 series but includes a green textured rear panel with the tournament logo, themed wallpapers, an official tournament ringtone, and a FIFA watermark for photos.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion
Flagships, foldable smartphones, and high performance naturally draw attention, but for users on a budget who still want a stylish device with strong cameras and a quality display, the mid-range Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is worth considering. It received notable attention at MWC 2026, reflecting careful design both inside and out.
As seen in demonstrations, the curved display flows smoothly into the rear panel, with no sharp edges or corners. The smartphone is not only visually appealing but also powerful, offering advanced mobile photography features, integrated AI tools, and two battery options. In environments with frequent power interruptions, extended battery life becomes a significant advantage. Despite its slim profile, the Edge 70 Fusion is rated for dust and water resistance (IP69/IP68), meets MIL-STD-810H standards, and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is the first smartphone to feature a quad-curved display and Pantone Validated Colour certification. It sports a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED screen with a 1.5K Super HD resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 5200 nits.
It is also the first device to incorporate the Sony LYTIA 710 sensor with OIS, paired with a 13 MP ultra-wide lens featuring a 122° field of view. For selfies and high-quality video calls, the 32 MP front camera supports 4K recording, offering resolution well above 1080p. Hardware capabilities are further enhanced by Moto AI with the Photo Enhancement Engine.
Regarding AI capabilities, Moto AI offers real-time assistance, on-device content generation, and information organization. The Next Move feature analyzes on-screen content and provides context-aware support, while tools such as Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This help improve productivity and manage data efficiently.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 platform. Users can choose between a standard 8/256 GB model with a 5200 mAh battery or a Power version offering 12/256 GB and a 7000 mAh battery. Both options support 68 W fast charging. A special edition is also available as part of the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion FIFA World Cup 26 Collection.

Moto Buds 2
Breaking up the smartphone lineup at the Motorola booth is the new generation of wireless earbuds, part of the Moto Things ecosystem, which includes two models: the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus. Both feature distinctive Pantone color finishes and a design-focused, stylish appearance.
The Moto Buds 2 Plus deliver rich and immersive sound regardless of environment, thanks to dynamic ANC, which reduces ambient noise. Six built-in microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation ensure clear voice transmission during calls. Users can also install the Moto Buds app to enable the intelligent CrystalTalk AI noise-cancellation feature.

The earbuds feature 11 mm dynamic drivers and balanced Knowles drivers, ensuring accurate and clear audio reproduction. Tuned with Sound by Bose technology, they support Hi-Res Audio via the LHDC codec and include Spatial Audio, all contributing to a spacious and balanced sound experience without distortion.
Battery life is rated at up to 9 hours on a single charge and up to 40 hours with the charging case. Additionally, the earbuds support Dual Connection, allowing seamless pairing with multiple devices.

The Audio Share feature allows two pairs of Moto Buds 2 Plus to connect to a single smartphone, enabling shared listening for music or movies. Wear Detection automatically pauses playback when the earbuds are removed. They also offer customizable touch controls. On compatible Motorola devices, pressing and holding an earbud activates Moto AI, providing access to features such as Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This.

The Moto Buds 2 also deliver strong audio performance. They feature 11 mm dynamic drivers and 6 mm planar-magnetic drivers, supporting Hi-Res Audio, LHDC, and Spatial Audio. The result is deep, detailed, clear, and rich sound. To reduce background noise, Dynamic ANC provides up to 55 dB of noise cancellation, while Transparency Mode allows ambient sounds to be heard without removing the earbuds. Six microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation ensure clear voice capture during calls.

According to the company, the Moto Buds 2 can last up to 11 hours on a single charge and up to 48 hours with the charging case. A 10-minute charge provides up to 3 hours of playback. The earbuds also support Dual Connection, allowing simultaneous pairing with a smartphone and a laptop, and use Bluetooth 6.0 for a stable connection. In Gaming Mode, audio latency is reduced to stay synchronized with on-screen gameplay. On compatible Motorola devices, users can quickly access Moto AI features, similar to the higher-end model.
Moto Things Devices
To complement its success, Motorola also showcased additional devices from the Moto Things ecosystem at MWC 2026, which had previously received strong attention at CES 2026. Alongside the earbuds, the booth featured the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, the portable Moto Sound Flow speakers in PANTONE Carbon and PANTONE Warm Taupe, the next-generation Bluetooth tracker Moto Tag 2, and the Moto Watch smartwatch, developed in partnership with Polar.
The Moto Pen Ultra stylus is pressure-sensitive, recognizes tilt, and offers minimal latency, enabling fast and convenient note-taking, text and image manipulation, commenting, screenshot creation, sketching, and quick tool switching via the Quick Toolbar.
